In The Points Guy’s longest game to date, Nicky Kelvin and Liam Spencer fly in opposite directions around the world from London to Fiji.
Nicky traveled east on Cathay Pacific and Liam westbound on American Airlines, both ending their journeys in Fiji Airways business class and discovering two very different experiences.
route
Nicky traveled from London’s Piccadilly Circus to Heathrow Airport (LHR) via the London Underground and the new Elizabeth Line, with a stop at his favorite lounge at the UK’s busiest airport, the Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge. Meanwhile, Liam traveled on the excellent direct express train service to Heathrow. He cheered at the American Airlines Admirals Club.

Nikki’s first stop was in Cathay Pacific’s new A350 Aria Suite, one of the most private and refined business class experiences in the sky. Liam flies an American Airlines 777-300ER, complete with lie-flat seats, familiar service and, most importantly, an ice cream sundae.
Transfers and Fiji Airways
Nicky transfers at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), showers in The Pier lounge, and then flies on a Fiji Airways A330, which offers friendly service and simpler hard products.

Thanks to Global Entry, Liam got through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) quickly. He managed to squeeze into the Flagship and Oneworld lounges before boarding a Fiji Airways A350 with spacious seats and a new Pacific Rim dining experience.
