2025 Holiday Gift Guide for Kids

Sharing my 2025 Holiday Gift Guide for kids this year! We tend to stick to a “something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read” buying strategy.
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! I hope you are doing well and that the week before Thanksgiving is going well. I have a long list of things to do this week, but I’m going to sneak in a yoga class with a friend.
I’m so excited about today’s gift guide because kids really do bring the magic to Christmas. I was basically like Buddy the Elf and thought nothing could make the season more interesting…and then we had kids. They just amplify all the magic of the holidays. We’re getting our holiday shopping done early, so I wanted to throw in some ideas if you’re doing the same.
When we’re holiday shopping for the kids, we keep things simple. They receive Santa gifts and Christmas presents, and then from us, we insist on providing “things they want, things they need, things to wear and things to read.” This checks all the major boxes and prevents gifts for my parents and their other relatives from getting too bananas. [Another hack: any gifts that aren’t opened in the first couple of days are stocked away in the playroom. I bring them out on a rainy day or when the kids say they’re looking for something to do.]
