Learn with Claude: Anthropic launches new professional course on Coursera to drive responsible AI innovation and workforce transformation

Now learners around the world can gain hands-on experience and develop practical AI skills with guidance from Anthropic experts.

Today, I’m excited to share that Anthropic, one of the world’s leading AI research companies, has launched two professional courses on Coursera to teach learners and developers how to collaborate effectively with Anthropic’s trusted AI assistant, Claude.

As artificial intelligence changes every aspect of work, many employees remain unprepared—only a third say they have received training on how to use artificial intelligence at work. There is an urgent need to expand practical AI education to increase individual productivity and support workforce readiness. These new professional courses are designed to provide learners with direct practical experience with Claude and help them build the confidence and skills to work effectively with artificial intelligence.

Learn to build powerful, responsible AI applications with Claude
Anthropic Build using Claude API Specializations are a series of courses that teach developers how to deploy Claude to build intelligent systems and streamline workflows. Through AI-driven conversations and interactive sessions, learners receive real-time, personalized feedback as they build tools and agents that drive innovation.

Professional courses include:

• Introduction to Claude: Learn API basics, model selection, and how to make your first API call to Claude.
• Timely engineering and assessment: Master the art of designing, refining, and testing high-quality tips for reliable results.
• Claude features and tools to use: Unlock advanced features including structured data processing, tool usage, and response optimization.
• Model Context Protocol (MCP): Build modular, scalable AI applications using Anthropic’s model context protocol.
• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG): Combine Claude with external data sources to build powerful, knowledge-enhanced artificial intelligence systems.
• Claude code and computer usage: Accelerate your development workflow with Claude Code and automated computer interaction.
• Agent workflow: Learn to design, orchestrate, and deploy multi-step AI workflows and autonomous agents.

Together, these courses provide learners with the technical foundation and practical skills to safely, effectively, and confidently use, develop, and deploy artificial intelligence through Claude’s APIs and developer tools.

Expanding access to AI skills through partnership with AWIT
To complement its developer-focused curriculum, Anthropic has partnered with Advancing Women in Technology (AWIT) to make AI learning accessible to everyone—no matter their background or experience. Real-world AI for everyone is a three-course professional program that helps learners of all experience levels become proficient in using artificial intelligence in their daily work. Specialized features:

• Claude’s Artificial Intelligence Basics: Learn how to build prompts and context for useful, high-quality responses, and use Claude Artifacts to turn rough ideas into polished deliverables.
• AI collaboration with Claude: Enhance your thinking and creative skills with effective prompting strategies, craft unique messages for diverse audiences, and use artificial intelligence to analyze complex messages.
• Cloud’s AI Automation: Use Claude Projects to automate repeatable tasks, scale results, and apply AI beyond text by augmenting generation with multimodal input and retrieval to achieve real-world goals.
