In-the-know hotel guests can use the hotel group’s latest secret social code to earn commemorative mugs, free points and more at Kimpton hotels around the world.
The hotel group revealed to TPG that the global promotion is now back and is valid until February 28, 2026. Guests can simply whisper “Kampton Guest Life” upon check-in and leave with some sweet surprises.
“That’s why we invite you to experience the unexpected, because every stay should feel like it’s tailor-made for you,” Kimpton wrote on Instagram on Monday to celebrate the promotion.
The gifts are so varied that the hotel group couldn’t say exactly what guests will receive this time, but past gifts include items such as Pendleton Woolen Mills socks at the Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel in Portland, Ore.; a vintage-style mug with hot chocolate and Cutler Artisan Spirits at the Kimpton Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa There’s a “Winter Spin” that guests can spin to win things like resort points or points for in-room movies and popcorn.
The hotel group told TPG that each hotel’s gifts are typically destination-related.
In addition to the secret code, IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite members and Diamond Elite members can “raid the bar,” earning a $10 or $20 credit, respectively, that can be spent at the restaurant bar or in-room minibar.

Kimpton hotels, in general, offer signature amenities like nightly social events, in-room yoga mats, and the company’s “Forgot? We Got It” program, which includes essentials like chargers, hair ties, sewing kits, and more.
The new secret code was released during the IHG online sale, offering a 25% discount on IHG hotels around the world. Travelers who book their stay at participating hotels before December 4, 2025 through March 31, 2026, can enjoy up to 25% off.
