How do recruiters verify a candidate’s degree documents? I mentioned this before. Contact the school or higher education institution directly. This is the most common way.
The second method is to ask for a copy of your diploma or transcript. Usually a diploma is enough, but sometimes they may ask for transcripts
The third way is for them to contract with a third-party background check service. They will check your background carefully to see what they find. The company can contact either of the two. They may consider other factors, but ultimately, a third-party background service becomes their way of conducting a background check or checking your degree and GPA.
