It was easy to stack this Black Friday deal with my annual statement credit. First, you must register your American Express Platinum Card for this benefit. To do this, go to your American Express Membership Rewards dashboard and select “Benefits.” Then, scroll until you find the Oura Ring benefit, click Learn More, and select Sign Up.
Now, visit Oura Ring’s website and purchase the discounted hardware of your choice. Be sure to pay with your registered American Express Platinum Card at checkout. While statement credits are typically posted within a few days, they can take up to eight weeks.
bottom line
I love being able to stack points with discounts to save even more money on already expensive items. Not including taxes, my out-of-pocket cost for the Oura Ring (after my Amex statement credit is posted to my account) will be $149. If I choose the silver titanium model, it’s only $49 (plus tax).
Overall, this Black Friday sale, combined with my Amex bill credit, saved me $350.
