Personally, I think this is a stupid question, but you still have to answer it.

Bold? No, super bold!

What a stupid question. I must say this immediately. What do you really hope to learn from most people? They end up being ordinary in the process of expressing themselves.

They’d all talk about things like teamwork, leadership, you know, they’d talk about stuff that didn’t matter. If I were you trying to answer this question, I would talk about something personal. I’m going to talk about your background and how you got to this place and how it impacted you and helped you grow as a professional.

So, in my case, I would probably say, I grew up in the Bronx, New York. I am someone who always needs to put in effort to be effective. While others would give up or change the topic, I have a certain level of persistence in what I do.

I think it comes from the sports I play. But I brought this determination to achieve outstanding results into the workplace. That doesn’t mean there are things you shouldn’t leave behind.

I just want to clarify. I learned these lessons too. But I think what makes me a little bit different, besides the skills and the things that I have, are the things that I bring to life that make me a productive person.
