What does it mean when a recruiter keeps checking my profile weeks after the interview?

What does it mean when a company recruiter continues to view my profile weeks after the interview? Now, to me, there are a few possible reasons. The main problem is number one: they haven’t made a decision yet. They just want to see if you are still available. Unlikely, but it’s possible.

More likely than not – and it’s interesting that they’re not using an ATS to do this – they’re using LinkedIn to do this. So, recognize that they don’t like their applicant tracking system. They just log into LinkedIn, look at your profile, and try to see if you would be a good fit for the new content they just opened.

So every time they get a new position, they search in LinkedIn Recruiter. They see you there and are viewing your profile. They’re not that smart; they don’t remember. I’m sorry to say that this is more likely. So, you know, considering it’s been a few weeks since your last interview, I think it’s unlikely that they just wanted to see if you could do the job. I think it’s more likely they’re checking if you’re available for another job.
