Frontier provides a limited-time channel to quickly advance to elite status

Are you a frequent Frontier Airlines flyer? Or do you expect to be a frequent flyer on this flight next year? If so, you won’t want to skip this deal!

Frontier Airlines announced a special limited-time promotion on Tuesday that offers passengers quick access to multiple tiers of elite status after just two round-trip flights.

To qualify, travelers must opt into the promotion on the Frontier website by logging into their Frontier Miles account and completing the form here. Once opted in, Frontier passengers who book two flights before December 9 and complete their travel by March 11 will receive Elite Gold status through 2026.

To qualify for Elite Platinum status, book an additional 3 round-trip flights before September 30. Platinum membership will be valid until 2027.

There are some fine print, though: You must spend at least $300 on base airfare and ancillary purchases (like seat assignments or checked bags, etc.) to qualify for Gold, and a total of at least $750 to qualify for Platinum.

Even with the spending requirement, the promotion still offers a lot for travelers: It’s typically necessary to earn 20,000 Elite points to reach Gold status and 50,000 to earn Platinum status. Elite tier points primarily earn $10-$20 for every $1 spent on airfare and extras, so you need to consider that normal spending requirements are $1,000 to $2,000 for Gold and $2,500 to $5,000 for Platinum.

You can also earn elite status points at a rate of 1 point per dollar spent using an airline co-branded credit card.

The airline revamped Frontier Miles last year, with four tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.

Gold members can enjoy a range of benefits, including upgrades to Preferred seats at the time of booking, upgrades to Premium seats at check-in and upgrades to UpFront Plus seats 4 hours before departure. First class upgrades will be available in early 2026.

The Gold Card also includes waived change and cancellation fees, Group 1 boarding for status holders (and Group 4 boarding for traveling companions), and free carry-on baggage.

Platinum membership offers the same benefits as Gold membership, but passengers can upgrade to Premium seats at the time of booking and to UpFront Plus seats up to 12 hours before departure. Everyone on the reservation gets free carry-on and checked baggage and can board with Group 1. The Platinum Card also includes an unlimited companion pass, which allows travelers to bring one companion on any flight for free (excluding taxes and fees) and enjoy a 50% discount as a Frontier Discount Den member.

For travelers flying on Frontier, status fast lanes could significantly enhance the travel experience next year. But remember, you only have a few days to book your first two flights – so act fast.
