Earn 2x United miles when you pay your rental with Bilt – here’s how

Bilt Rewards has become the best way to earn rental points. Now, United credit card holders have the chance to earn more miles when they pay for their rentals.
Typically, rentals paid through the Bilt app or website code count as non-reward purchases with most credit cards. However, Alaska Airlines cardholders can earn 3 points for every $1 spent (up to $50,000 per year) when using the Alaska Airlines Credit Card Atmos™ Rewards Ascent Visa Signature® Credit Card or Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Card Pay rent through Bilt.
Starting today, Bilt members can earn 2 miles for every $1 spent on on-time rental payments through Bilt with any participating United MileagePlus card (up to $50,000 in rental payments per calendar year). Participating consumer cards include:

Bilt says that one mile per dollar will be credited to your MileagePlus account as “Bilt Rent Card Member Bonus Miles,” and one mile per dollar will appear in the “United MileagePlus Bonus Miles Summary” on your credit card statement.

If you use Birt MasterCard® Pay your rent through the Bilt app or website and you’ll earn 1 Bilt point for every $1 you spend (up to 100,000 points per calendar year; the card must be used five times per billing cycle to earn points), and there are no transaction fees when you pay your rent. If you pay for rent through the Bilt app or website with another Visa, American Express, Mastercard or Discover credit card, you’ll earn 1 Bilt point for every $2 you spend, plus a 3% transaction fee.

Bilt members paying rent through Bilt with any card other than the Bilt MasterCard will face a 3% transaction fee. However, based on TPG’s December 2025 valuation, United miles are worth 1.3 cents each and Bilt points are worth 2.2 cents each. So if you pay for a $1,000 rental with a United card, you’ll incur a $30 fee but earn $11 in Bilt points and $26 in United miles when you pay.
So if you have a United card, it might be worth considering using your card to pay for rentals through Bilt in the future.
