Although Flying Blue uses dynamic pricing, here are some great ways to transfer and redeem Flying Blue miles:
- Flying Blue Promotional Rewards: Every month, Flying Blue publishes award discounts (up to 25% off) on select Air France and KLM routes, providing a great way to save on flights from the United States to Europe. Economy class flights can cost as little as 18,750 miles.
- European premium cabin: When booking through Flying Blue, awards on flights operated by Air France and KLM are dynamically priced, with prices to Europe starting at 25,000 miles per person one-way in economy, 40,000 miles in premium economy and 60,000 miles in business class. Business class prices are particularly good, and you can use tools like Seats.aero to search for available awards. (Note: After using the search tool, be sure to confirm award space with the airline.)
- Free stopover: Flying Blue allows free stopovers (no additional miles; taxes and fees apply) on one-way or round-trip awards (including partner itineraries). This is great if you want to add Amsterdam or Paris to your travel itinerary.
bottom line
Converting Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Flying Blue miles is easy and often instant at a 1:1 ratio.
Always find award seats first, weigh the value of cash or portal bookings, and keep an eye on promotional incentives or transfer bonuses to further increase your Chase points.
