I like this sprout kit because they provide 2 large glass jars with mesh lids so that the water from daily rinsing can drain out slowly. This ensures the container is protected from mold or disease while sprouting.
-
Some seeds can be pre-soaked for a few hours to overnight to improve germination. Check your seed packet for specific recommendations. We spent the night soaking up the water. The next morning I rinse and drain the excess water.
-
Roll the jar gently so the seeds stick to the sides. By the third day, you’ll see the seeds really starting to germinate.
-
Remember to rinse every morning and evening.
-
Keep the growing environment between 60-75°F.
-
Once the seeds germinate and start growing, move them to a well-lit location. A sunny windowsill or fluorescent grow light.
-
Store any unused microgreens in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
-
By day seven, my mason jar was filled with beautiful microgreens.
