Our favorite ways to use Bilt Cash

This is brand new and will likely evolve, but here are the Bilt Cash options that immediately caught our attention.

Earn 3 points for every $1 spent on everyday purchases with the Bilt Palladium Card

After all, this is the points guy, so the first option that caught our eye was the ability to cash out $200 in Bilt Cash to earn an additional 1 point per dollar on all your non-housing expenses (up to $5,000) birt obsidian card and Birt Palladium Cardup to five times per year.

So with Obsidian cards you get:

  • Earn 4 points for every $1 spent on dining or groceries (up to $25,000 in annual dining or grocery bonuses)
  • Earn 3 points for every $1 spent on travel
  • Earn 2 points for every US$1 spent on daily purchases

Earn 3 points for every $1 spent on everyday purchases with the Bilt Palladium Card.

With the added bonus of the Palladium card, this is excellent Based on TPG’s January 2026 valuation, it would have returned 6.6 cents per dollar on daily spending. Assuming you regularly maximize your Bilt rewards through high-value transfer partners like World of Hyatt and Atmos Rewards or through Bilt’s regular rental day transfer bonuses, this is an option definitely worth considering for those who plan to put their daily spending on this card.

Hello, more Hyatt stays bring more Bilt points. Summer Hull/Points Specialist

What’s particularly interesting is that you can do this up to five times per year. Once you reach your $5,000 spending cap, you can unlock additional point bonuses again by cashing in another $200 of Bilt Cash, which you can earn after you spend $5,000 at the 4% Bilt Cash earning rate, until you reach your annual cap. As they say, rinse and repeat a few times.

Blade Helicopter Ride

For those with the ability to earn a lot of Bilt Cash, Blade looks like a great way to use that cash to do things you might not otherwise be able to do.

For those unfamiliar, Blade is a helicopter service that takes you to and from Manhattan to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in minutes.

Based on my searches, most Blade flights currently start at $270 per seat (although Blade advertises prices starting at $195), so $350 in Bilt Cash, used up to two times a year, should be enough to cover the cost of most Blade flights to New York-area airports.

Unlock the next level of transfer bonus on loan day

This Bilt Cash option has the potential to be very interesting—although exactly how The fun will depend on the details of each transfer bonus and the amount of Bilt Cash required to unlock the next status level ratio.

But let’s say you have Bilt Gold status because you hold Birt Palladium Card. With this Bilt Cash redemption option, you will be able to use a yet-to-be-announced Bilt Cash amount to unlock the next transfer bonus percentage normally reserved for Bilt Platinum members.

Taking into account the December 2025 lease date Avios transfer bonus, this theoretically means you can use Bilt Cash to purchase the 100% transfer bonus tier normally reserved for Bilt Platinum members, instead of getting the 75% bonus as a Bilt Gold member.

If you transfer 100,000 Bilt points (100% bonus) by temporarily unlocking the Platinum tier available for the month, you will receive 25,000 more Avios than Gold tier (with 75% bonus). Assuming the price stays within the $75 Bilt Cash range announced today, this could be a great value.

Earn points by paying your rent or mortgage

Last but not least, using Bilt Cash to unlock the option to earn points on rent or mortgage payments is definitely the option we’re most excited about.

Use $30 of Bilt Cash to pay for every $1,000 of rent or mortgage payment and earn 1 point for every $1 spent. So, if your monthly housing payment is $2,500 and you want to earn 1 point per dollar, you would need $75 in Bilt Cash to make those 2,500 Bilt points a reality. Of course, you can choose to use less Bilt Cash to earn points on a smaller percentage of your home payment.

Mathematically, this is actually a better value option than earning $200 in Bilt Cash for every $1 spent on $5,000 spent on the Obsidian or Palladium Cards. At a rate of $30 Bilt Cash per 1 point per $1,000 in home payments, you could actually use $200 in Bilt Cash to earn 1 point on up to $6,666 in home payments, rather than earning 1 bonus point per $1,000 spent on the card every day (if you want to look at it that way).

Of course, it’s not necessarily an either/or situation, so assuming you’ve earned enough Bilt Cash, maybe the right way to look at it all is “Why not both?”

bottom line

Like a giant, multi-page Cheesecake Factory menu, the launch of Bilt 2.0 makes a lot of sense at once.

The good thing is that you have a lot of options, including how to earn and spend Bilt Cash. But admittedly, the sheer breadth of options can also feel a little overwhelming at first, especially now that none of this is live yet.

But earning 3 points for every $1 spent on the Palladium card (unlocked by redeeming $200 in Bilt Cash, up to a limit of $5,000, five times per year) is a pretty solid option. Of course, using Bilt Cash to unlock free points towards earning rent or mortgage payments is not only the core of the Bilt program, but also a great way to use Bilt Cash.

We will definitely update with more information as Bilt Cash comes online and may develop.
