Chase vs. Marriott transfer ratio
The transfer ratio between Chase and Marriott is 1:1. However, you can only transfer points from Chase to Marriott in 1,000-point increments.
TPG’s January 2026 valuations are $20.50 for 1,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points and $7 for 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. Transferable points are inherently more valuable than any personal currency you can redeem them for, but by our estimates Chase points are worth nearly three times as much as Marriott points.
Chase occasionally offers transfer bonuses to selected transfer partners. However, these transfer bonuses are relatively small, and we don’t recommend speculatively transferring points unless you have a specific redemption coming up.

How long does it take to transfer Chase points to Marriott Bonvoy?
Transferring from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy usually happens immediately. However, you may need to log out of your Marriott account and log back in to see your points.
Some transfers may not be completed until the next business day, and sometimes it may take up to 7 business days to complete. Fortunately, Chase sends an email after you submit your transfer request and another once the transfer is complete. So if it doesn’t happen immediately, keep an eye out for an email indicating that your transfer has been completed.

To transfer Chase points to Marriott Bonvoy, log in to the Chase website or app and click on one of the card accounts where you can earn transferable Ultimate Rewards points. Then, click “Redeem” next to your points balance.
Click “Travel” in the navigation bar above and select “Transfer points to partners.”
Scroll down until you see the tile for Marriott Bonvoy. Click the tile, read the information on the page, and click “Transfer Points.”
Enter or confirm your Marriott Bonvoy number and click Next.

Finally, check your transfer details and click “Submit” to proceed with the transfer.

As mentioned above, Marriott Bonvoy is not the most valuable Chase transfer partner. So if you have a limited number of Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you may want to reserve them for a higher-value Chase transfer partner. After all, you can still buy Marriott points at relatively low prices during the program’s frequent promotions or when booking a paid stay. And even if you want to redeem your Chase points for a Marriott hotel stay, it may be more cost-effective to redeem your points for a paid stay booked through Chase Travel℠ rather than transferring them to a Marriott hotel.
However, you may need to transfer Chase points to a Marriott hotel for high-value Marriott Bonvoy redemptions, book a “Stay 5, Pay 4” stay or top up your account to redeem. And, remember, you can transfer Marriott points to select airline programs, including some hard-to-earn rewards.
It’s best to transfer your Chase points to a Marriott hotel shortly before you plan to redeem them. After all, Marriott Bonvoy uses dynamic award pricing, so award rates and availability can change at any time.
