2026 TPG Awards Best Business Class

Everything old is new again again, with two of our long-time favorite airline products winning the 2026 TPG Awards for Best Domestic and International Business Class.

Delta One Suite won the award for Best Business Class from American Airlines, and Qatar Airways’ elegant Qsuite won the top honor for Best International Business Class.

Here’s why these premium products win…and which other new and upcoming business class seats follow.

Best International Business Class: Qatar Airways Qsuite

Qatar Airways once again took top honors for its outstanding Qsuite product, which has been a hit with passengers since its launch in 2017.

Why does this kit continue to dominate? It depends on the architecture of the suite itself and the amenities passengers can rely on.

Qsuite was revolutionary when it took to the skies nearly a decade ago, and it remains so for a number of reasons. First off, every Qsuite is incredibly roomy, measuring 39 inches wide and 103 inches long. That’s a lot of private space—and we mean private because these suites come with solid closing doors that block out noise and movement in the hallway.

The seats, finished in beautiful silver and purple, also recline to a 78-inch lie-flat bed and feature a 21.5-inch entertainment screen that houses the airline’s signature Oryx One content library. Certain center seats can even be converted into a two- or four-person configuration for families and colleagues to fly together, making them one of the most innovative features in the sky.

But the Qsuite experience also excels in terms of soft amenities. That means passengers can dine on demand at any time throughout the flight, and the wine and spirits menu includes exquisite selections such as Charles Heidsieck and Duval-Leroy champagnes. The amenity kit is also from French high-end brand Diptyque, and passengers on long-haul flights can request a set of comfortable pajamas.

TPG What’s the last reason we love Qatar Airways’ Qsuite? The package is available on most of the airline’s long-haul fleet, including Airbus A350s and many Boeing 777s, and can be booked regularly through Qatar Airways’ own Frequent Flyer Club program (which uses Avios as currency) as well as multiple partner programs including British Airways Club, American Airlines AAdvantage and Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards.

While the current Qsuite is the original design, we did get a sneak peek in 2024 of an updated version that Qatar Airways plans to install on its Boeing 777X. Needless to say, we can’t wait for the new design to go live, as we suspect the updated Qsuite will replace the current Qsuite.

Best U.S. Airline for Business Class: Delta One

Originally launched in 2016, Delta One Suites is another multi-year TPG Award winner for Best Business Class among American Airlines.

Currently, you can find the kit on the airline’s Airbus A350-900s and Airbus A330-900neos. Delta’s Boeing 767-400 aircraft feature classic suite-style fixtures, but without the closable privacy doors found on the A350 and A330-900neo.

Delta One seats are 20 1/2 to 22 1/2 inches wide, depending on the aircraft, and can recline to lie-flat up to 80 inches long. Their entertainment screens measure 18 to 18 1/2 inches diagonally and can play hundreds of hours of entertainment content.

Delta One passengers can now enjoy comfortable Missoni bedding and beautiful Missoni amenity sets, including Grown Alchemist skin care products. The airline has also recently upped its champagne game, offering Taittinger Champagne on board, as well as menus from celebrity chefs like José Andrés.

One drawback is that there are few ways to book a Delta One Suite without redeeming a ton of Delta SkyMiles (rewards for booking with partner points and miles are almost non-existent), but there are sometimes some of the best options available when you’re traveling from outside the U.S.

What excites us next is

As mentioned above, each of our winners is still doing well after nearly a decade of existence, but the many new business class seats that have recently been introduced and are about to take off may soon overtake them.

In mid-2025, American Airlines will launch a new flagship business class suite on select Boeing 787-9 aircraft, featuring closing doors, more personal space for each passenger and the latest technology. There are even fancier, more spacious flagship suite preferred seats at the front of the cabin, which come at a steep price.

In December, American also launched updated business class suites on its Airbus A321XLR, which will enter service on premium transcontinental routes and then some transatlantic routes.

Speaking of A321 cabins with gorgeous new business class cabins, we were also wowed by the cabin Etihad Airways unveiled last summer on short- and medium-haul routes.

United Airlines, for its part, showed off its next-generation business class last May. The new “elevated” Polaris Business Class cabin will appear on the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and will also include Business Class + Polaris Studio Suites within the bulkhead. The latter will have enough room for two passengers to dine together, as well as a massive 27-inch 4K entertainment screen with Bluetooth pairing and exclusive amenities and dining. Regular raised Polaris seats will feature sliding doors and a 19-inch entertainment screen, as well as stylish new navy blue and wood paneling.

United Airlines

One of our favorite new business class suites of late is Cathay Pacific’s Aria Suite, which debuted on some of the airline’s intra-Asia routes as well as routes from Hong Kong to London; and now also flies to Vancouver, British Columbia and San Francisco. These beautiful rooms feature closing doors in understated shades of cream, taupe and brown, complemented by luxurious Bamford bedding and toiletry suites, not to mention 24-inch 4K entertainment screens.

We’re also eagerly anticipating the new business class suites Qantas is installing on its upcoming Airbus A350-1000s and plans to use them to operate its long-awaited Project Sunrise flights from Sydney to London and New York.

Japanese airline All Nippon Airways will also bring a version of its much-hyped The Room business class suite, currently only available on some Boeing 777-300ERs, to some of its Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Singapore Airlines has hinted at an upcoming update to its Airbus A350 business class cabin, but it may be some time off from now.

So if you’re flying, there’s a lot to look forward to! You can bet we’re scouring the internet for award redemption opportunities so we can be among the first to bring you reviews of these exciting new business class seats and cabins. stay tuned!
