2.6 Friday Favorite – Fitness Guru

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Are you OK? What are you going to do this weekend? We babysat our little niece Daisy, go to P’s basketball games, celebrate EJ’s birthday, and watch the Bad Bunny concert (aka the Super Bowl). I hope you have a great weekend!

I didn’t mean to disappear here this week, but…it was one of those weeks. I was inundated with appointments and calls from clients (which I loved!!), but one of the girls got sick, we found mold in the bathroom (the inspector came on Monday), something else happened behind the scenes (everyone was nice, but it was just something we didn’t expect) aaaaand my Paypal was hacked for the 4th time in a month. (Using a crazy password+authenticator app.) I ended up canceling my account because their security had gotten so bad. So yes. That’s what’s going on here; I don’t have much interesting or exciting things to report, haha, buuuuuuuut

In the spirit of looking on the bright side, it’s time for our weekly Friday favorites gathering. Here I’m sharing some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love hearing about your favorites too, so shout out your favorites in the comments section below.

2.6 Friday Favorites

Fashionable, beautiful and casual:

This shark hair dryer.

I’ve wanted to buy a Dyson for years, but couldn’t afford the $500 I spent on a hair dryer. My hair is long and thick, and I didn’t want to spend a pair of jeans and a cute dress on something that might not suit my hair. I heard rave reviews about the Shark Flex Fusion, and when I saw it at Costco for $279, I bought it. I am not exaggerating when I say that it has changed my life and the lives of my children.

The first time I tried it, it gave me salon-like results in about 25 minutes. I used it to straighten both girls’ hair and it looked great. I will be sure to share a tutorial on the blog soon!

Lola takes her first walk! The vet gave us a briefing last week and she loved it. I was worried that she would think the leash and harness were attacking her, but she has been a pro from day one.

She actually ate P’s homework. I showed this picture to her teacher after school – and she laughed so hard – so P could get a replacement.

Read, watch, listen:

Guide us on candida, metabolism, and vitamins with this book:

started a new one bridgeton Season glad it’s back. are you watching? !

This podcast episode is great. This was the first personal finance book I read out of college, so it was really cool to hear David Bach’s voice. (I downloaded this after listening to the podcast episode.)

Fitness, Health and Food:

Wrapping up my first quarter detox of the year. It was a little challenging though – I wanted to try some chocolate after the Paypal disaster, but let me tell you – I felt great. I didn’t get a lot of sleep this week, but the quality sleep was good and I had lots of energy, which helped me remember that eating more bright vegetables and fiber is a good thing.

(Detox pizza with crumbled chicken skin, tons of veggies and tofu *cheese*)

The Lumebox sale is ongoing! Use this link and you can get 45% off until Sunday. I use this every morning when I check my email and it’s the perfect boost. I also use it for a lot of different things like pain, menstrual cramps,

A new rose humidifier from my friend at Canopy. Isn’t it gorgeous? ! I use a Canopy humidifier every night and the girls have them in their rooms too. I think this makes a huge difference in the winter, but also because it’s so dry here in Arizona. It definitely helps my skin, eyes and hair. Use FITNESSISTA here! They work really well and are easy to clean, feature anti-mold technology, and you can add aromatic discs that contain essential oils.

If you’re looking for a Super Bowl recipe, try this dairy-free buffalo chicken dip!

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today! Have a great weekend and see you soon!

XOXO
