How to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Iberia Plus

Chase Ultimate Rewards points can be transferred to various airline loyalty programs, one of our favorites being Iberia Club. It’s a relatively niche loyalty program for U.S. travelers, but it has some great redemption points for transatlantic flights.
Even if Iberia’s Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) hub is not your final destination, you can continue to other cities in Europe thanks to Iberia’s extensive route network.
Here we’ll show you step-by-step how to transfer Ultimate Rewards points to Club Iberia Plus, and finally we’ll cover some of the best Iberia Club redemption methods.

Yes, you can transfer Ultimate Rewards points to Iberia Club as long as you have one of the following Chase cards in your wallet:

These transfers are processed at a rate of $0.01 for 1 Ultimate Rewards point, which means $100 can be converted into 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points.

On this page you will see some basic information about the Iberia Club program. Click the “Transfer Points” button at the bottom of the screen to begin the transfer process. If you have transferred points to Iberia in the past, simply confirm your membership number to continue with the process. If not, you can add your Iberia Club number (or the number of an authorized user) on this page.

Enter the number of Ultimate Rewards points you want to transfer to Iberia Club in the center of the screen. You can transfer in increments of 1,000 points, and transfers are usually processed immediately. Remember, points transfer from Ultimate Rewards to Iberia at a 1:1 ratio – for example, 25,000 Ultimate Rewards points transfer to 25,000 Iberia Avios.

Now, click “Next” to proceed to the transfer summary page. Review the details on the screen and click “Submit” to transfer your points.

Please note that all Ultimate Rewards transfers (whether to Iberia Club or other airline or hotel loyalty programs) are irreversible.
When should you transfer Chase points to Iberia Plus?
On paper, it might not make sense to transfer Ultimate Rewards points to Iberia Club, as TPG’s February 2026 valuation shows Ultimate Rewards points at 2.05 cents per point and Avios (the currency used by Iberia Club) at 1.4 cents per point. But in reality, the price per Avios earned from Iberia Club can be more than 2.05 cents, especially when redeeming for business class flights.
Regardless, it’s always worth comparing the points cost of any award ticket to the cost of booking directly or through the Chase Travel℠ portal. Sometimes it’s better to just book a low-cost economy ticket and save your points for future redemption.
Here are some of the best ways to redeem Iberia Avios to get the most value:
- Book Premium Economy from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Dulles International Airport (IAD), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) or Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) for just 29,500 Iberia Avios one-way or 40,500 Iberia Avios one-way Business class points, plus taxes and fees.
- Book short-haul flights from Madrid to other European cities for as low as 3,150 Iberia Avios (plus taxes and fees).

You can also transfer Iberia Club Avios to AerClub, British Airways Club, Qatar Airways Frequent Flyer Club, Finnair Plus or Vueling Club. This opens up many other great redemption opportunities.
bottom line
You can transfer Ultimate Rewards points to various airline and hotel loyalty programs, including Iberia Club. While it’s a relatively niche transfer partner, it’s worth checking out before you book your trip to Europe.
Being able to transfer 40,500 Ultimate Rewards points to Iberia Club and book business class flights to Europe is a great deal. Plus, you can fly further afield to Europe with just a few thousand more points.
