Ingredient description

- Ground beef: A mixture with a slightly higher fat content (such as 80/20) works best at keeping the patties tender during baking.
- Soda crackers: If you don’t have salty crackers, you can use crushed Ritz crackers or regular bread crumbs, but Ritz will have a slightly stronger flavor.
- Whole milk: You can use 2% milk in both steak and gravy, but the final texture will be lighter.
- Cream of Mushroom Soup: Chicken cream or celery cream both work well and still provide a classic, comforting gravy.
- Dijon Mustard: Yellow mustard can be used for a more traditional flavor, or omitted entirely for a milder gravy.
