3.20 Friday Favorite – Fitness Guru

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How was your week? I hope you have a lovely person! We escaped some beach time, Kleiger family time, and the cooler weather of San Diego – it was perfect. The week ended with a mini golf tournament with friends and an afternoon at the pool,

And watch the Wildcats win!
I’d love to hear what happened to you!
It’s time for our weekly Friday favorites roundup. I always love hearing about your favorite things from the week and around the web, so shout out your favorites in the comments section below.
3.20 Friday Favorites
Fashionable, beautiful and casual:
Santiago! ! We took a non-economy flight and spent two full days at one of our favorite places. We landed at 7am (WHEW) and arrived at Better Buzz Drive Thru at 8:15am. Not too shabby.

We also got gluten free donuts and pastries from Phatties, they had everything. A little thick (which I really like), fresh and sweet. We will definitely be back!
We knew it would be a while before our hotel room was ready, so we headed to Mission Beach. The weather was like a dream.

P loved playing catch and running in the waves with us, and Liv and I spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach blanket. When I woke up at 3:45, I may have fallen asleep on the beach, or I may not have had a sunburn.
(In our carry-on we packed this sandcastle set and this snapping set. We bought a beach blanket and a soccer ball at a store in Belmont)
After beach time the girls were hungry so we went to Belmont Park for lunch and P and I got henna tattoos,

The girls took a ropes course and rode some rides.
Our hotel was ready so we headed back to shower and relax for a few hours before having dinner with the Cleggs to celebrate Wyatt’s birthday!

We had a Benihana and it was the first time I had hibachi since going gluten free and I didn’t feel like dying after. These sauces usually ruin my stomach and they used gluten free soy sauce for my and P’s entrees. marvelous! We also had Menchie’s after that and called it a day.
The next day, we slept in,
Watch the fish and rays in the bay while drinking coffee.

And enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast at Gaslamp Breakfast Company.
It was goat (goat cheese with caramelized onions and bacon – they gave me turkey bacon instead), gluten-free toast, and hazelnut decaf almond milk latte.

This is definitely one of our new top San Diego breakfast spots, we have many on our list 😉
After breakfast we went to the K Pop store (Liv’s request) which is located inside an incredible Korean market. I loved looking at all the food and Liv bought some souvenirs for herself and her friends.
Then it was back to the beach 🙂 We spent another full afternoon at the Mission, swimming, playing catch, and building sandcastles until it was time to leave. We went back to Cleggs’ house and said “see you soon” and took an Uber to the airport. The crazy thing is, we were technically in Tucson on Tuesday…and Wednesday…but still had a lot of fun in San Diego in between.

we watched martian This week – I started it on a plane – and it worked surprisingly well. It’s intense, but I absolutely love it.
