Hyatt Regent Times Square is now open

Hyatt will get time under the light when it opens on a new hotel on Broadway in the center of New York City’s prestigious theater district.

The 795-room Hyatt Regent Times Square opened Tuesday after a multi-million-dollar transformation, according to the hotel group. To celebrate its location, the property features a two-story lobby and glass atrium overlooking Broadway lighting, bright entrance and special “Mom Mia!” – themed rooms.

“The hotel’s amazing design, incredible views and exciting location is filled with comfort, convenience and real care in our world of guests, Hyatt members and customers,” Mohit Malhotra, general manager of Regent Times Square, said in a statement. “This is the most exciting thing about the hotel’s landscape in New York City.”

Guests will find tufted headboards, marble-top headboards and large windows that offer great views in each of the hotel’s 795 rooms. And, as the hotel is located in the center of a city that does not sleep, there are blackout curtains to ensure a pleasant sleep.

For those who want more space, the hotel has a spacious 969 square foot penthouse suite with expansive views of Times Square, all the way to the Hudson River. The room can also be combined with two other rooms for additional space.

But the real gem is the “Mom Mia!” room, decorated with the theme of a Greek island, inspired by the musical’s return to Broadway this August.

The property’s public space is thoughtfully thought out with wood finishes, stone pillars, bronze accents and a tribute to the hotel’s Broadway address, a ceiling installation of translucent disks inspired by the theater curtain. When the on-site restaurant, Restaurant No. 48 opens, it also overlooks the lights of 48th Street.

According to the Hotel Group, Hyatt Regent Times Square is priced at $349 per night. Travelers using Hyatt View World can book 25,000 per night for accommodation in July, according to a search on the hotel website.

In addition to Hyatt Regency Times Square, Hyatt operates nearly 30 other properties in New York City, including the Central Hyatt New York, the Grayson Hotel and the Hyatt Park Hotel in New York.
