Do we need to mention the salary figures, or can we say, “Based on job responsibilities, responsibilities and fair market value, I want to be fairly paid?”
Overcome
Do we need to mention the salary figure? Can we say “based on job responsibilities, responsibilities and fair market value”? Well, “I, I, I want to be paid fairly.” Jason, they will push a number to you. That’s reality.
Now, usually when I guide people to talk about salary issues, well, you know, let me work with your idea, where you are in a part of the world or the United States can’t ask what you are currently earning. You need to answer this question if you can, because my experience has always been that if you don’t answer this question, they will end the interview. But, now in most parts of the United States, this is no longer a legal issue. They can ask what you are looking for. The way I usually encourage people to respond to this is to say: “It’s too early for me.” Well, you know, after all, I haven’t met my future manager yet. I didn’t meet a team. I just read a job ad. I don’t have the role and responsibility that I take directly from the horse’s mouth, what are their expectations. Can I answer on another occasion? By the way “What is the salary range for this role?” This becomes a way for you to hear it before you put in the numbers.
Now, once they answer, they might point at you, pause for a second, and go, “Well, the high end of the range does, yes, I can use it.” You can always adjust later. But if they push you to answer this question, you can do other things. That said, you know, give them a range and then simply say what I just said:’But I hope you understand that I really don’t know much about this job, except for what I read or what Ronnie Recruiter or what the Rona recruiter told me about,. I don’t know what the boss will look like, what the feeling of a team is, what the expectations are. I just know what I was told or what I read in the ad. so, I can give you a number now, but I don’t promise. I know that after the interview we can pass again and I can let you know what I am looking for for the salary of this position. By the way “What is the scope of this position?” If they are rushing and grinding, this will become a way for you to deal with them. ”
Recruiters know you don’t know: They’re not watching all these screening videos
