Anker Nano 3-in-1 Electric Bank is my must-have travel equipment

When it comes to packaging, I brought too many socks, tripled my medications, and unpacked and repacked to make sure I don’t forget a pair of pants. But the charger? Well, often, they come home when I’m already on the road. Realizing that this is impossible to survive, I finally invested in a travel charger and an electric bank.

The Anker Nano 3-in-1 has been my most stable travel companion for the past few months, traveling with me to California, New York, Texas and Vermont. Technically, it’s a power library that contains AC Outlet plug-ins, but it’s also a great charger, and the multi-purpose device is my love language.

This Anker Power Bank includes a short lightning or USB-C cable, a USB-C port and an AC plug. Overnight, I plugged the power library into an AC outlet, plugged my phone into a built-in lightning cable, and woke up to the fully charged phone and power library. Of course, this is not a novel charger. However, it never wavered during the months of use. Plus, it can charge two devices at a time. Using the USB-C port, I charged both my phone and Apple Watch overnight.

What really impressed me about Anker is that it also charges the power bank when plugged into an AC outlet and charges multiple devices at the same time. If I plug it in overnight, it will have a full battery in the morning. This way, I can throw the power bank into my schoolbag and prepare for the day.

Mixable light speed

This is the clutch, I have to go for over 12 hours a day when covering the Vidcon. When my phone battery is low I don’t have to worry about finding a socket in the conference center in Heeheim, but instead plug it into the power library and keep it inconspicuously charged in my schoolbag. It has enough power to charge my iPhone 14 Pro twice, but is compatible with many other devices. Using the USB-C port, I can plug the laptop charging rope into the Anker Nano and juice the MacBook Pro.

It has a design flaw…

It’s great to have a built-in lightning rope on the Anker Nano (which can also come with a built-in USB-C cable), which means you don’t have to drag on the extra rope except for the power library. However, the built-in rope is too short. If you use it as a power bank, that’s not a real problem, but as a charger, it’s absolutely annoying. I like to indulge in pre-bed phone time when charging my phone, but due to the short wire, it is almost impossible to hold the phone while charging. Also, if you want to charge your phone when it plugs into an AC station, your phone tends to hang unless you are close to the table.

I can easily solve this problem. On my honeymoon, our charming Cod Cottage didn’t have any good outlets in place, so I plugged the power library in during the day and used it in power library mode to spend the night.

While the Anker Nano 3-in-1 has a permanent home in my travel bag, I can still reach for it when I’m not on the road. Our living room is not in a good location so there is no good place for the charger. I grabbed my Anker Nano when I wanted to charge my phone but still had a touch while hanging out on the couch.

I bought the Anker Nano 3-in-1 for $34.99, which is $10 cheaper than its full price of $44.99, but I still tell you to buy it for the full price. This is a convenient and versatile power library that keeps all your devices fully charged on the go and at home.
