Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 Review: Promising Updates

Turn it on and you handle it onto a huge 8-inch screen, which is a nicely sized bump in the 7.6-inch fold, which makes it better for multitasking, as the application makes better use of that space. I still think multitasking isn’t as good as OnePlus Open open, but I do like some new improvements like the hiding window. This allows you to use two apps in the split screen, but you can push one app to the side so that most of it is hidden but still accessible very quickly.

Thankfully, these cameras are even more odd with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and the 200 MP main camera delivers sharp results no matter the time of day. (Although you need good lighting for the best results.)

The more I use fold7, the less I can stop thinking about its price. $2,000, you can buy a good smartphone and Powerful large-screen tablet. I prefer using a 5x optical zoom camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, while the limited 3x zoom on the Fold7. Yes, even if I don’t use S pens much, I like to have the stylus sign documents and the occasional graffiti. (This Fold 7 no longer supports S-pen.) Battery life remains tedious on the Fold 7 and hardly lasts all day without the need to use the larger internal screen a lot; on the S25 Ultra, you can easily do a day and a half.

When I’m on a tablet, I like to use it for big screen real estate, and some apps make better use of the extra space than the Fold7. By default, fold7 will not show applications like gmail with a two-pane view. You need to head the settings and zoom the screen smaller to enable this feature, but everything looks a little smaller, which can ruin the purpose of those who prefer larger screen readability (at least you can increase the font size). I’m just not sure why it can’t be used as the default layout for applications like Gmail.

I love the time with these phones and I do think that the update is an important step in the right direction. However, I prefer what Motorola’s RAZR flip phones have been doing all the time, and the Fold7 is pricey, but you still don’t get high-end features like 5x optical zoom or reliable battery life. Annoyingly, these phones still need a lot of unnecessary patching to maximize their capabilities, but this is a problem that has long plagued Samsung phones.
