Meet museum trustees in New York shooting

Wesley M. Lepatner, the new elected trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, was one of four people killed by gunmen in a Midtown office building on Monday.
Lepatner is the senior managing director of Blackstone, based on 345 Park Avenue in the shooting. At Blackstone, she is the global head of its Core+ real estate division and CEO of the Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust. She is one of the highest women in an investment company. She has worked for Blackstone since 2014 and has joined the company from Goldman Sachs.
In a statement, Lepatner’s family, including husband Evan Lepatner and two children, said: “She is the most caring wife, mother, daughter, sister and relative who enriches our lives in a variety of ways.
