Meet Ultra Skelly: Skelly Skeleton Gets This High-Tech Version of Halloween

I know you See Skelly at some point in the past five years. Maybe it’s near you during Halloween, or a viral post about Halloween decorations. Maybe both are OK! Maybe it’s all year round in your friend’s yard, wearing a Santa hat for Christmas and pairing a bottle of champagne in the eyes of 2025. (Maybe that’s just my friend’s yard.)
Since its launch in 2020, the popular 12-foot skeleton aptly named Skelly has become a Halloween classic (and the permanent yard lieutenant of Halloween elite). This year, Home Depot will launch a few new products in its Halloween collection, including a brand new, tech-supported Ultra Skelly ($279).
Ultra Skelly is the soup tech version of the original Skelly, with customizable chest lights and eyes, four actions that can be performed, presets and custom audio recordings that can be repeated, a live audio option, and a motion sensor to activate it. It’s shorter than the 12-foot icon, but 6 1/2-foot doesn’t laugh at either. This just means that Ultra Skelly can be installed next to your front door and skip your trick or explorer.
Super fun

On the visual side, Ultra Skelly has a light built into the mouth and chest, both of which can be selected in a comprehensive range of colors in the newly revamped Decorporpro SVI App (Android and Ios), which was launched last week by Home Depot. The most interesting visual, though, is Skelly’s new LCD eye, which comes with 18 different styles of choice. There are options for Halloween and holidays, from skulls and red human eyes to hearts, snowflakes and birthday confetti. There are also some non-festive options like blue, green and brown eyes.
As for audio and animation, Ultra Skelly has four actions, with its head, mouth, arms and torso that can be controlled. This high-tech skeleton also comes with five preset audio recordings and is able to record its own audio for 30 seconds, which you can manipulate with weird voice modulation. There is also a live audio mode if you want to speak in the unseen Ultra Skelly.
The DecorPro SVI app works with Bluetooth, so you need to customize Ultra Skelly in range and use live audio. Ultra Skelly can’t connect to Wi-Fi, so it’s not technically smart, but it’s still full of futuristic fun during the holidays.
Beyond Ultra

Ultra Skelly is not the only new member of the Skeleton family. There is a new version of Skelly’s best friend: a 5-foot-tall Skelly’s dog ($249), which will also have customizable eyes. The 7-foot stand-up version of the dog ($199) is back. This year, Catman will also be recognized by a new 5-foot Skelly cat ($199). The initial 12-foot Skelly ($299) will return and after a year of price increase throughout the market, it’s nice to see it actually keeps the same price. This regular Skelly also has customizable LCD eyes, although there are only eight options. Ultra Skelly ($279) is actually cheap among two Skelly options, even with all the cool features, but it’s almost half the size.
Today, all of this can be found in Home Depot’s website and Home Depot app, as well as in Home Depot’s other Halloween collections. If you’re looking for something else interesting, don’t miss the 15-foot Ghost Scarecrow ($399), the 8-foot Animated Bird Fighter ($399), and more. Happy Halloween, my weird friend.
