My 10 Years Beef – fitnessista

Share more about why I started eating red meat again, my feelings and friendly reminders that the best diet strategy is the diet strategy that suits you. There is no shadow or judgment here.
Hi, friends! Are you OK? Hope your week go smoothly! We had dinner with friends, at Madre’s, NCL and the usual fun stuff in Massachusetts. This was our first full week of school+home school, so we officially got back to it. All my mom friends wish you good luck as we get back to chaos!
For today’s post, I want to talk about meat. I realized that this summer’s weeks ago was 10 years after I hadn’t eaten red meat or a lot of meat in my life.
I stopped eating meat when I was eight because I read it The tiger jumps Jonathan Taylor Thomas is a vegetarian. Since I will definitely marry him – he just needs to meet me – of course, I have to be vegan too. (Yes, my parents were totally trying to convince me, but I was a stubborn little thing and they supported me.)
Until I was in high school, I didn’t eat too much meat at all, and even then, it was a little uncomfortable for me. I ended up adding it back during college (eating low carbs will force you to go), met a pilot, watched a bunch of documentaries, read a particularly frightening book, and then found myself a Pasta, then a vegan, and then a few years of vegan.

I like plant-based foods and still prefer vegan foods. (The random fact about me is that I went to Raw Vegetarian Cooking School. This chocolate egg t is the best vegan egg you have in Liiiife.) I have added fish and then before I got pregnant with Liv, I started eating chicken. The Internet is going crazy. Again, that was the day when the spam post I spent 30 minutes writing would get over 100 comments. That was a haha day.
When I was pregnant with P, I was craving steak, so I got home and asked the pilot if he would bake one for me.
You should see the joy on his face. He went to Whole Foods, grabbed the beautiful herbivorous steak, roasted it to perfection, and I ate the whole thing.
When I told my acupuncturist he said, “You need to eat meat and blood to produce blood.” Original laughed loudly.
I haven’t really looked back since then and now I eat meat multiple times a week. While I don’t think we need crazy protein, I definitely think it’s important. (I still believe that fiber and micronutrients are the most important!)
Eat beef again after becoming a vegetarian
Anyway, since I’ve been consuming meat all the time, here are some things I’ve learned along the way:
– Quality makes all the difference in the world. It is important for me that the products we use are responsible and sustainable. This is a big reason why we get almost all the meat from Butcher Box, and I also purchased certified organic and gravy options from Whole Foods and Farmer’s Market.
– This is indeed a matter of BioIndian. Like anything else, it depends on your unique body, preferences and needs. Some people feel terrible on a high-protein diet, while others thrive. All in all, I think most women do a good job of the nutrition provided by meat. You can also get certain nutrients from animal-based products that I feel are very nourishing and satisfying. Honestly, once I start eating red meat again, I will be back to life.

– If you want to achieve your protein goals, meal preparation is the best way to go. I love making cooked eggs, chopped chicken, chicken meat and seasoned ground beef. P and I had a bowl of ground beef and rice and avocado almost every day last week for lunch.
– Like I mentioned above, protein/meat is just a puzzle. How many colors are there on the plate? How do you sleep? How about the pressure? How is your digestion? mood? cycle? exercise? There are many things that lead to a comprehensive routine, but nutrition is definitely an important part of our feeling and function.

So, tell me, friends: Are there any vegan/vegetarians out there who decides to eat meat again, or are some new vegan/vegetarians? What is your experience?
Friendly reminder that this is a non-judgment space. I know people can be shocked by these things, but the reality is that we did our best on this wild journey, as much as we can. <3
I wish you a wonderful day and I will see you soon!
XO
Gina
