I read another story about a big company announcing layoffs for months, where some people make a stupid mistake that really hurts them. I am Jeff Altman,,,,, Large game hunter. People don’t have employed my BS job coaches and career advice worldwide because the process of finding a job and being successful is easier.
Let me tell you a mistake: They will wait to find out if they are fired before doing anything. Why? Why do you believe in that company that lays off thousands of employees and you are going to be immune to the problem?
What you should do is Prepare your resume to keep your LinkedIn profile up to date and start discussing options available outside of your company with people That way, you won’t be surprised. The truth is that you may get a package, but it will take time to get you ready for work. Now it’s time to do so.
Start reactivate your network, start talking to people, start learning about work you don’t know Because the skills required to find a job are different from those required to work. Don’t wait for the axe to fall on your neck and let you get thrown away. This makes no sense.
