Why did the interview die? That feeling of sinking and how to avoid it.

Good things may happen if rejected

Interviews may die because of mistakes. Sometimes you make a mistake; sometimes they die because the person who screens your resume does it.

  1. Interviews are usually because someone reviews the resume and explains what you write in a way you are not going to do. Sometimes, they die because someone believes your skills you don’t list. Sometimes, they misunderstand your experience. Within 15 minutes, each of you know there is a problem, but the conversation will be in trouble because the interview etiquette does not allow it.
  2. Sometimes it’s your mistake. Sometimes, you exaggerate your experience or skills in your resume. In such a job market, people usually include every skill or experience near or near resumes in the hope that they can get interviewed. When I screened for recovery, I had a hard time finding 4 months of work experience, which was 4 months of experience I tried to fill in the core skills of my job. In the search we were trying to complete, this was rarely enough for my clients, but, like the mission inspector in Iraq, I had to ask a follow-up question to infer that this experience was insufficient.
  3. The interviewer stands out in another idea and you won’t bring them to you and pay attention to you. While an interview may be the most important thing you have today, it may be one of the interviewers’ 25 priorities. You might interpret it as a dying interview that might be the interviewer considering project responsibilities, the next question they are asking, their commute, arguments with spouse/important other or children, upcoming meetings or other one million other possibilities.
  4. You’re bored interviewer. The answers to questions often make the person seeking a job completely boring and long with lengthy answers. It’s not the problem; it’s the person who doesn’t organize his own ideas around a topic, so the answer becomes so long, boring, and often has nothing to do with the original question.

Top 10 Reasons for You to Be Denied Job

How can I avoid this?

Depending on the error, there are different strategies. I will answer by providing a way to avoid mistakes and conduct interviews along better routes.

  1. When you are invited to interview with a company, ask them where they want to interview you. Try not to interview jobs that you are not qualified for. They may see the director’s position or the role of programmer. Ask them if they can tell you more about the role and responsibilities of the position and what they are looking for in terms of background or experience. If you detect a “red flag” or a reason to make a mistake, it is useful to say your actual experience in the area and confirm that it is sufficient.

For example, a company looking for developers invites a system administrator with development experience to take on the role of a senior developer. Administrators noted that they are administrators with two years of development experience, and 40% of their work was developmental during this period. Some of you might say that this will “kill the interview” and you’ll be fine. However, in this market, interviews will be a waste of time.

  1. Don’t exaggerate your knowledge or experience on your resume. Be accurate when you present your experience or knowledge. If you worked with something three years ago for two months, please indicate it on your resume. Don’t worry, you won’t lose the chance of being hired because of honesty. You will save yourself the pain of the interview and will not be hired anyway.
  2. If you feel that the interviewer is not thinking enough, there is an easy way to bring them back to you– Change gear positions by crossing the legs or adjusting the legs or clearing the throat in the chair and apologizing for this. These two simple actions will restore their consciousness to you.
  3. Notice. What you think should not be paid attention to is necessary reminders. Often, job seekers stand out in their minds and don’t pay attention. Don’t focus on what companies are looking for in solving jobs; think they know better than employers what they should ask, then walk away and answer the question rather than a question asked. Then the answer will last forever!
  4. If possible, try answering the question in 60-75 seconds. Some problems take more time; most don’t. By keeping this length of answers, you will be interviewed and interacted. You are unlikely to attract audiences. Instead, you will come back and forth with the interviewer to create one that will make them discuss with you. You can even foresee what their follow-up questions might be and practice the answers before the interview.

You may notice that the first two suggestions happen before the interview and the next two suggestions happen during the interview. I don’t think smiling or asking a lot of questions is just controlling the damage. By following the perspective here, you will avoid having an interview, you will not be able to win and do better in the interview you get.
