Photographer Kenny Wu’s “boyfriend”

New York photographer and filmmaker Kenny Wu visual meditation on contemporary masculinity. Wu’s photographer is a photographer whose work is based on self-discovery, as his observations of his surroundings often reveal a part of his identity.
“Whether it is exploring the intimacy of intuitive men or taking a two-month vacation in Taiwan, I learn a part of myself by observing what I record through photography. Travel is my preferred pattern of preference with daily life, allowing me to explore in a distant situation to allow me to explore life in a distant way, whether within the scope of the discussion or once again, consciousness and the need to capture the small moments that make up our daily life.”
His personal photo project, “Boyfriend,” is a visual exploration of male intimacy and belonging. Although straight men are often encouraged to internalize their emotions and prioritize masculinity, Wu created a space where his subjects are free to explore the intimacy and friendship of male friendship. These images consider the problem of how men look when they allow them to explore their soft side without judgment or preconceived concepts of masculinity.
