New Peacock Subscription with Walmart+

Walmart+ Membership American Express Platinum Card® and AmericanExpress® Commercial Gold Card Becoming more and more valuable. Starting September 15, Walmart+ members will have new options between the two streaming services at no additional cost.
Currently, Walmart+ members can subscribe to ad-supported Paramount+ Basic Plans. But starting next week, members will be able to choose the ad-supported Peacock Advanced Program. Members will not permanently lock in the selection; you can switch between two services every 90 days.
The standard Walmart+ membership costs $98 plus taxes per year (or $12.95 plus taxes per month). However, Amex Platinum and Business Gold Cardembers can get Walmart+ (up to $12.95 plus applicable tax) monthly stated credit, offsetting the cost of membership. Registration is required; plus UPS exclusion.
What is Walmart+?
Launched in 2020, Walmart+ is a paid membership program that offers free shipping from Walmart, no orders at minimum orders and free same-day grocery store orders for $35 and above (within a reasonable distance).

The program also offers other money-saving benefits. In addition to the new choice between Paramount+ and Peacock Stream, Walmart+’s privileges include:
- Free pharmacy delivery (minimum no order)
- Free 24-hour online support from veterinary experts
- Save fuel, up to 10 cents per gallon, membership prices at participating gas stations (ExxonMobil, Mobil, Murphy and Wal-Mart) and Sam’s Club Fuel Centers
- Car care benefits, including free flat tire repairs, wherever you buy tires, and free road hazard warranty for buying and installing new tires at Walmart
- 25% off Burger King Buy – Free every three months
- Free returns at home (no printing or repackaging required)
- Walmart can get up to 5% cash when booking Walmart + travel
Note: Walmart+ previously included ad-free access to select content on Pluto TV Streaming Service, but as of September 2, the benefit has been discontinued.

How to get a free Walmart+ membership
Both Amex Platinum and Commercial Gold Up to $12.95 plus applicable taxes (access required) can be included in the monthly report credit for Walmart+ membership.

To earn credits, sign up for a monthly Walmart+autorenewed membership or log in to your existing Walmart+ membership account and enter your Platinum or Commercial Gold Medal as payment method. Statement points are usually received after a few days of monthly membership, but can take up to six to eight weeks.
Annual Walmart+ Membership and Plus UPS enhanced delivery services are not eligible for AMEX statement credit. If you currently have annual Walmart+ membership, you must change to the monthly membership plan before the annual membership renewal.

Other ways to get a free peacock subscription
If you have Walmart+ and don’t want to choose between the two services or switch every 90 days, there are several ways to keep your Paramount+ subscription and subscribe to Peacock for free.
Instacart+
Peacock is a free Instacart+ grocery delivery service where you can earn a free three-month membership as a qualified chasing credit card holder or US Mastercard credit or debit card holder. If you continue to earn Instacart+ membership after three months, the annual fee is $99 or $9.99 per month.
Amex Platinum Digital Entertainment

this Amex Platinum When you purchase directly from one or more providers (required) directly, a declared credit of up to $20 per month is included for eligible purchases for Disney+, Disney+ bundles, ESPN+, Hulu, Hulu, Hulu, Hulu, peacock and Wall Street Journal.
Peacock currently has three paid plans: choose a premium of $7.99 per month, $10.99 per month and $16.99 per month. Select and Premium have ads, while Premium Plus has no ads. Your Amex Platinum has a monthly digital entertainment credit of $20 and can be used for any of these Peacock programs.
However, if you already use digital entertainment credits on Peacocks but don’t watch them regularly, you may need to switch between Paramount+ and Peacocks every 90 days with Walmart+benefits. Your digital entertainment credit will then be released to subscribe to one of the other providers.
Qualified spectrum or Xfinity customers
Spectrum customers of the Spectrum TV Select package get a Peacock premium at no extra cost.
The following Xfinity users can get Peacock premiums for free:
- Customers with X1 TV Box or Xfinity Flex Streaming TV Box
- Internet customers with Gigabit Speed (24 months free)
- Diamond or Platinum Xfinity Rewards Members with Xfinity Internet Services of Any Level
- TV streaming customers now
Bottom line
Walmart+ members will be able to choose between the two streaming options on September 15 – Paramount+ Basic Plan or Peacock Premium Plan – for no additional charge. Switching between plans is allowed every 90 days. This is a nice new benefit – especially if you’re from yours Amex Platinum or Commercial Gold (Paramount+ requires separate registration).
