Meet the beehive architect, carpenter installs the house of bees independently – Huge

“Where I go, the bees come,” Matt Somerville said. Somerville is a carpenter and a staunch conservationist who has spent about 800 homes around the British countryside over the past 14 years and has installed insect populations for about 800 homes.
The Hive Architect, directed by Max Weston and released by outdoor clothing brand Fera, follows him as he carved out logs, built conical roofs, and eventually ventured into the grass to build his structure, following the clumsy, smoking woodworker. “There is a broad theory that our British honey bees don’t exist without being domesticated by beekeepers,” Fera said. “But this theory is ridiculous for bee protectionists like Matt Somerville.”
Somerville usually spends winter in his trojans, creating as many beehives as possible during the cold months. Just as the first flower popped out of the ground, he headed to the pastoral site where he drilled a device that allowed him to install heavy buildings by himself.
