I think the key here is “too eager”.

For me, the word anxious is the keyword here. I long for me too much. And you never want to look too eager in an interview.
Why do I say that? A lot of things interviewed, like dates, anxious dates, so attentive that they are listening to every word you say, and they hang as if it’s the most important thing in the world. Those people didn’t get the second date. So you don’t want to meet someone who is too eager for you like a stalker.
You want to appear interested, desire, but don’t, of course not too eager. So, isn’t it good? Yes. Because it meets the despair of most people.
And, no one should try to encounter despair, whether it’s dating or working, or something like job search.
