Untamed flora Abandoned greenhouse in Romain Veillon’s “Secret Garden” – Huge

In the latest work by Romain Veillon Secret Gardenthe mysterious charm of an abandoned greenhouse makes people the center stage. French photographers head to abandoned places, immortalizing forgotten corners of the world, inviting viewers into spaces where humans are deviated.
The boundary between the inside and the outside is a key factor in Veillon’s abandonment of his approach to growing a house, and he emphasizes their integration. “Ironically, instead, nature is imprisoned there and attempts to free its unstoppable power,” the photographer shared in the series of statements. “Now, we appreciate that vegetation has become the vegetation in its cage.”
Veillon’s photos are very powerful, documenting the power of ultimately restoring spaces that are no longer dominated by their intervention. While the existence of human beings in each image—through broken stained glass curtains, rusty pipes and a pile of unused pots, the command of rolling vegetation is clearly reminded that, ultimately, nature endured people outside of us.
