Eva Air launches long-awaited flights from DFW to Taiwan

The second library of the U.S. airport has the latest uninterrupted link to Asia – it sits on a new plane with some high, state-of-the-art seats.
Amid a flight that attracted a lot of fanfare, Taiwan’s Eva Air unveiled the long-awaited arrival at the Fort Dallas Worth International Airport (DFW) on Friday night, unveiling uninterrupted service between Texas and Taipei.
This is the seventh city of the United Airlines, a partner of United Airlines, and a midstream tay column in the sky in the Pacific Ocean.
The new route from DFW also cements the rapid development of North Texas Airport as a hub for travelers looking to fly to far-flung destinations in Australia, Asia and the South Pacific.
“This new route is about more flights, making connections,” said EVA president Clay Sun, speaking on DFW on Friday night, ahead of the first flight from the airport. “I think Eva is helping [strengthen] Not only Taiwan, but Asia and [the] The United States, especially Texas. ”

Eva’s new senior economic seat makes us debut
However, Eva is also the airline’s own historic first in its new DFW service at its Taiwan Taoyang International Airport (TPE).
No, we’re not talking about its popular Hello Kitty themed jet, which has already turned its head in Chicago last summer.
Instead, the flight from DFW to TPE marked the debut of the new premium economy seat of the U.S. EVA, which debuted for the first time on the Boeing 787 Dreamliners fleet.

It’s an attractive option for travelers who don’t want to pay their bills (or points) to earn the bills (or points) required for commercial-grade seats at Lie-Flat Royal Laurel – but it requires some extra comfort on long-term flights to Asia.

Eva once led the era of launching advanced economy in the late 20sTh Over the past decade, spacious mid-sized sleeper seats have begun to appear decades before airlines around the world.
But earlier this year, as operators continued to thrive in senior economic seats, Eva announced that it would take the next move.
These new seats debuted on the Dreamliner fleet and are undoubtedly a worthwhile bridge between the Spiffy Pod in front and the standard coach seat in the back.

These seats are arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration, which should be enough for travelers looking to rest on the trans-Pacific trek.
The seats are tilted in a cradle-movement manner and the seat cushion slides forward. You can then pop the legs and foothold. While it’s not a lie experience, I personally think I was able to get some decent Schutye in that squint position – it certainly beats trying to sleep upright in the coach’s seat!

Plus, like many premium economy huts flying today, you get (a little) extra privacy with wings around the headrest. And, there is new technology, with each seat having a 15.6-inch backrest screen.

Eva Sports Sports 28 These recliners are an alternative to travelers who don’t want to face 26 Royal Laurel Commercial Pods in the front.
The Royal Laurel Cabin you see on DFW on the 787-9 has basically not changed with the commercial-grade products that operators flew in their 787s in recent years.

However, please note that some future innovations are also made from Eva in the front cabin. Last year executives told me they are in the early stages of considering a suite concept that will come with sliding private doors that you may see in the future on its largest, largest and best quality aircraft.
Texas Style Celebration
Even before they boarded the brand new plane, DFW travelers attended a full-scale party with Texas themed celebrating a new flight between Lone Star State University and Taiwan.
Food, music, decoration and games greet passengers before leaving Airport Terminal D late at night – that is, those passengers who don’t have time in the nearby American Express Centurion Lounge or Capital One Lounge, every step away from the gate.

The only interruption to the celebration was: a loud announcement at the nearby gate, boarding a flight to Sydney, Australia.
It’s an intoxicating reminder that the airline will have 28% more seats than the previous year, according to aeronautical analytics company Cirium.

These include the non-stop Cathay Pacific Service launched earlier this year, and Fiji Airways to Nadi International Airport (NAN), which begins at the end of 2024.
The importance of adding EVA and Taipei to the DFW roadmap is not lost to airport leaders, who liken the importance of this flight to the largest global event planned for North Texas.
“I’m excited about this route,” DFW executive vice president Ken Buchanan declared, referring to the world’s most popular sporting events, including the 2026 edition of Dallas.

Looking to the future
Eva will make three round trips a week between DFW and Taipei until November 18, when it adds its schedule to five trips. Then, by December 15, the carrier will increase daily services between the two cities.
How to book Eva’s air with points and miles
Travelers who want to book an EVA with points and miles have some options:
- You can transfer Citi Thanks Rewards Points to EVA Infinity Mileagelands at a 1:1 ratio.
- The capital mile also moved directly to the EVA, but was reduced in a 4:3 ratio, so 1,000 miles would turn into 750 EVA miles.
- You can also search for reward spaces through EVA in one of the partners in the Star Alliance, such as United Airlines, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines or Nippon Airways in Japan, among others.
