Rack Data for September 2025 – Garage Gym Experiment

introduce
Here are the rack-specific data for your home gym. If there’s anything else you’d like to know about, please let me know and I can build on it.
Highlights:
- After REP took the top spot in 2024, Rogue regains the lead over REP in the “Most Likely to Buy Power Rack” category.
- A 3×3 rack with 1-inch holes remains the most popular choice, especially in an ideal setup.
- There is a clear increase in interest in “all-in-one” racks.
Here are the results, with some comparisons to last year.
When it comes to choosing a power rack, about 80% of people will consider Rogue and REP.
This is the fifth consecutive year the question has been asked. After REP became the first choice for year 4, Rogue regained the lead.
- There are so many power rack options out there that we’ll be looking for better ways to ask this question, but it’s interesting because it’s 5 years of data.
The Rogue is also the top choice for most people who want a folding rack, with the PRx a close second.
For the folding rack question, both Rogue and PRx saw an increase in votes from last year
Half the population now has a 3×3 rack with 1-inch holes.
The number of 3×3 racks with 1-inch holes continues to grow year by year.
While only 50% owned one, 86% said that in a perfect world, they would own a 3×3 rack with 1-inch holes.
There is almost equal interest in 4-post racks and 6-post racks.
More than 50% wanted a rack depth of about 30 inches.
About 58% of people are willing to pay more for the right power rack color.
No one is interested in having 2 training racks in their home gym
Nearly 80% of people want a power rack, not a half rack or squat rack.
For most people, hole spacing on the west side is not a priority.
About 59% of people are at least “moderately interested” in all-in-one trainers.
Interest in all-in-one PCs has increased significantly since last year.
