You can use 10,500 American Airlines AAdvantage miles or less to fly one-way in economy class to many American Airlines routes across the country. I found flights available in 2026 from:

16 one-way economy flights to London via Virgin Atlantic Flying Club
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club offers great fares and is one of the most economical ways to fly to London.
You can transfer 6,000 Thank You Rewards points into Flying Club at a 1:1 ratio and fly to London Heathrow (LHR) from multiple U.S. airports, including Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), and Dulles International Airport (IAD) near Washington, D.C.
With 100,000 points, you can redeem 16 times and still have 4,000 points left. Please note that Flying Club imposes hefty surcharges and UK Air Passenger Tax will be charged on return flights from London to the US.

2 one-way business class flights to Colombia with Avianca LifeMiles
Transfer Thank You Rewards points to Avianca LifeMiles and start traveling to Colombia in Premium Business Class.
Since they transfer at a 1:1 ratio, you can use 46,450 points to buy a business class seat from MIA to El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogota, Colombia.
At this rate, you can use 100,000 points to purchase two business class seats and bring a companion.

2 one-way Condor Business Class flights to Germany on JetBlue TrueBlue
You can transfer Thank You Rewards points to JetBlue TrueBlue to book Condor Business Class flights to Frankfurt Airport (FRA). This is one of my favorite highlights of TPG right now.
You can find available flight information from 54,000 points onwards from multiple destinations including BOS and Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ). ThankYou Rewards points transfer to TrueBlue at a 1:1 ratio.
You need over 100,000 points to reserve two seats for 108,000 points. However, if you wish to meet the minimum spending requirements, this is also possible. Citi Elite No matter what, earn the 100,000 point welcome bonus.

2 one-way business class flights to Paris on Air France-KLM Flying Blue
You can also fly Air France business class to Paris for 100,000 points.
For 60,000 miles (transferable 1:1 from Citi to Air France-KLM Flying Blue) you can book a ticket to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). Service is available from several airports in the United States, such as BOS, IAH, JFK, and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
As with the previous redemption, you actually need to transfer 120,000 points to Flying Blue if you are booking two seats.

1 one-way Hawaiian Airlines First Class flight from American Airlines AAdvantage to Hawaii
Enjoy lie-flat luxury from the continental United States to Hawaii with just one welcome bonus.
That’s because you can use AAdvantage to book a Hawaiian Airlines first-class flight from the continental United States to Hawaii and transfer 64,000 Thank You Rewards points to AAdvantage at a 1:1 ratio.

1 one-way business class flight to Abu Dhabi via Etihad Guest Airways
You can also use your 100,000 Thank You Rewards points to redeem most stylish Etihad Business Class tickets on flights to Abu Dhabi. You can transfer Thank You Rewards points to Etihad Guest at a 1:1 ratio.
We’ve found flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), BOS and IAD to Zayed International Airport (AUH) from 120,000 locations.
Although you may need to invest some extra spending in Citi Elite To reach the 120,000 points required for this redemption, Strata Elite’s current reward earning categories certainly make it possible.

1 one-way business class flight to Tokyo on American Airlines AAdvantage
You can use 122,500 Citi points to transfer to AAdvantage at a 1:1 ratio to fly direct to Japan on American Airlines.
This route flies from Los Angeles International Airport to Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) in business class.
Like some of the previously mentioned redemptions, this booking will technically cost over 100,000 Thank You Rewards points. However, the extra 22,500 points needed to redeem this flight may not be that difficult to accrue through your spending Citi Strata Elite Card.

3 Nights Accommodation at Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonny Creek Resort
Citi’s hotel partners may not be on your radar, but if you want to save money on out-of-pocket costs, it’s an option. For example, you can book a three-night stay at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, a Wyndham hotel near Disney World, for 30,000 points per night.
If a night’s stay at the resort costs $441, this redemption would be worth about 1.47 cents per point. While it’s less than TPG’s Citi Appreciation Rewards points, which are worth 1.9 cents each (as of October 2025), this redemption can still help you save money, especially if you use points to book a three-night hotel stay instead of paying cash.
For Disney lovers, redemptions like this can be a huge help when trying to save money on a Disney family vacation.

8 nights stay at Hotel Aquarius Ascent Collection in Venice, Italy
If you prefer to book at Select hotels, you may want to take advantage of the 1:2 offer redemption ratio and transfer Thank You Rewards points to Select privileges.
For example, you can use your 100,000 point bonus to stay at the Aquarius Hotel in Venice, Italy for eight nights. That’s because 100,000 ThankYou Rewards points turn into 200,000 Choice points – and you can book eight nights at this hotel using 192,000 Choice points.
During peak summer months, room rates can reach as high as $540 per night, which may be a good compensation for some travelers.

When searching for flights, I recommend checking Seats.aero. You can find available rewards across multiple programs partnered with Citi, including AAdvantage, and search multiple routes to find exactly what you’re looking for.
Redeeming with airline partners is one of the best ways to get great value from Thank You Rewards points. While it can sometimes be difficult to maximize your Citi Points with hotel transfer partners, there are some benefits.
But before transferring points, be sure to compare the cash rate with the points rate. If you want to maximize your points, it might be worth booking at a cash rate and saving your points for redemption next time. Additionally, point redemptions are irreversible, so be sure to confirm reward availability before blindly transferring rewards.
