New Chase Sapphire Reserve benefit starts today

Starting today, a new lineup of benefits has been launched Chase Sapphire Reserve® (See Rates and Fees) Cardholders who opened an account before June 23. (These benefits will be available to new applicants as of that date, but all existing cardholders can also activate and start using them now.)
This update focuses on new claim points in the travel, entertainment and lifestyle categories, as well as significant changes to how points are earned and redeemed.
Best of all, these benefits are live now, so cardholders can sign up and start using them right away.
Here’s what’s new and how to maximize your benefits.
Hotel points and elite status
When you stay at The Edit, Chase’s collection of luxury hotels, you’ll receive up to $250 in hotel credit to use through the end of the year.
The credit is valid for a prepaid reservation of a minimum of two nights and includes daily breakfast for two, a $100 in-property credit, and early check-in, late check-out and room upgrades (if available). If charged now, you can even use this year’s points toward a stay in 2026.
Beginning January 1, 2026, you will earn two points per calendar year, up to a maximum of $250 each.
For example:
- You can use one point to book a two-night stay between March 3 and 4, 2026 (book before the end of the year).
- You can then use one of next year’s points to book a stay between March 5 and 6, 2026 (bookings begin on January 1, 2026).
- Additional points for next year can be used for stays from March 7-8, 2026 (also booked from January 1, 2026).

In addition, a separate one-time $250 hotel credit will be launched on January 1, 2026, valid for a minimum stay of two nights at select hotels booked through Chase Travel℠, including hotels affiliated with IHG Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts and Virgin Hotels. The points must be used in the 2026 calendar year.
Cardholders can also link their IHG account through Chase to sign up for IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status for free (through December 31, 2027). Platinum Elite members receive stay bonus points, room upgrades and late checkout (if available).
Use your The Edit points to stay two nights before the end of the year and sign up for free IHG Platinum Elite membership.
StubHub/Viagogo Credit
If you like concerts or sports, this credit should be easy to use. Now, until December 31, 2027, you’ll receive up to $150 in statement credits per year when you purchase tickets through StubHub or Viagogo. Requires activation.

Since these platforms often host high-demand events, the credits can easily cover part of the cost of a big outing every six months. Click Rakuten to get extra rewards, and checking the price on the day of the event can help you get better deals.
Activate your StubHub/Viagogo points and use up to $150 in concerts or games before the end of 2025.
apple points
You can now subscribe to Apple TV+ and Apple Music for free (valued up to $250 per year, valid through June 22, 2027; activate each service individually through Chase’s website or app).
If you already subscribe, cancel the paid plan and switch to the free plan to save money each month.
Activate your free Apple TV+ and Apple Music subscriptions.
Dining points and exclusive bookings
It’s two benefits rolled into one: points and priority booking.
First, cardholders can earn up to $150 in half-year credits at eligible restaurants participating in Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables, which includes top restaurants in major metropolitan areas like Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, as well as smaller cities like Denver and San Antonio. This can be a great way to enhance your evening experience or try a new place.
To claim points, you simply pay with your card at an eligible restaurant; no reservations or extra steps are required. Adding your card to Rakuten allows you to earn extra cash back at select restaurants.

Second, you can get priority reservations by logging into your OpenTable account and adding your Chase Sapphire Reserve card as a payment method.
Find and dine at an Exclusive Tables restaurant before the end of the year and use up to $150 in points.
home team credit
Peloton points offer up to $10 off every month (ends December 31, 2027). Since Peloton digital membership starts at $9.99 per month (plus tax), the credit won’t be paid out in full, but will be partially offset. Requires activation.
Be sure to pay directly through Peloton (not through the App Store) to earn points.
Activate Peloton points, then sign up for membership or switch your existing payment method.
Yield changes
The structure of travel revenue in the Sapphire Reserve is changing:
- Earn 4 points per $1 spent on flights and hotels booked directly (was 3 points per $1).
- Now earn 8 points per $1 spent on flights booked with Chase Travel (previously 5 points per $1).
- Earn 8 points per $1 spent on hotels and car rentals booked through Chase Travel (was 10 points per $1).
- Other travel expenses are reduced to 1 point per $1 spent (down from 3 points per $1).

Dining remains at 3 points per $1 spent, and most other purchases continue to earn 1 point per $1 spent.
Convert spending on general travel purchases, such as parking, transportation and vacation rentals, to a card that still earns bonus points in those categories, such as the American Express® Green Card or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card.
Information for the American Express Green Card and Ink Business Preferred is independently collected by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
Chase Travel Exchange Depreciation
Points earned from this point forward are no longer redeemable through Chase Travel at a fixed price of 1.5 cents each. Instead, they will be eligible for a points bonus (up to 2 cents per point on select hotels and airlines; 1 cent per point on everything else).
Points earned before today retain the 1.5 cent fixed value option until October 26, 2027.

bottom line
Today’s changes for most people Chase Sapphire Reserve Cardholders are further transforming it into a hybrid travel and lifestyle card that blends hotel, entertainment, streaming, dining and health benefits with new earnings and redemption structures.
Many of these benefits will continue through 2027, giving cardholders even more opportunities to get value from the card. Whether this offsets the increased $795 annual fee (effective for all renewals from this point on) will depend on your spending habits.
