LACMA 2025 gala raises $6.5 million

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) celebrated its 14th annual Art + Film event on November 1, attracting nearly 600 of the biggest names in art, film, fashion and entertainment. This year’s carnival honors artist Mary Corse and filmmaker Ryan Coogler, the sinner. After a brief delay by the Dodgers and a gripping World Series finale, the fundraiser resumed with some rousing speeches and a captivating performance by Doja Cat.

“We are art, film, creativity, all tightly intertwined,” Michael Govan, CEO of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, told the star-studded audience. “I always say this is the most creative place on earth, and you are here, all of you.”

Co-hosted by LACMA Trustees Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio, the gala set a new fundraising record, raising nearly $6.5 million to support LACMA’s mission: to integrate film more deeply into its curatorial programming and advance the museum’s broader artistic vision.

The 2025 Art + Film Festival is sponsored by Gucci, which has been a sponsor of LACMA since the event’s inception in 2011.
