Bilt Rewards has just announced that Bilt Card 2.0 will launch on February 7, 2026. But Bilt Card 2.0 isn’t just one card: it’s three new cards that will replace Birt MasterCard®. (Speaking of which, new applications for the Bilt Mastercard close at noon on November 5.)

Bilt Mastercard information is collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

If you currently have a Bilt Mastercard, there’s no need to take action right away. Bilt Rewards will announce details of the three new cards in early January, and existing cardholders will then be able to choose which of the three they want. Existing cardholders will face a soft pull on credit if they choose one of the new Bilt Card 2.0 options. However, if you select one of the new Bilt 2.0 card options after the January announcement, you will receive it in the mail before the February 7 launch.

Alternatively, existing cardholders can choose to close their Wells Fargo account or convert their Bilt Mastercard to Wells Fargo Autograph® Card If they don’t want any of the new Bilt Card 2.0 options, use a different card number (see rates and fees).

Bildt said the transition will be seamless for existing cardholders. In particular, your card number will remain the same, so you won’t need to update any subscriptions or automatic payment settings. Likewise, Apple Pay and Google Pay will automatically update your new card information on February 7th. If you have a balance on your Wells Fargo account, you can transfer it to the new Bilt Card 2.0 (transfer is subject to approval).

But perhaps most exciting of all, the new Bilt Card 2.0 will let you earn points on qualifying mortgage payments—no matter who provides your mortgage. This is groundbreaking and means the card will be beneficial to both renters and those with home mortgages. Summer Hull, senior director of content at TPG, is very excited about the news of Bilt Card 2.0, saying, “2026 is the year of Bilt (for me).”

Only time will tell whether Bilt will finally offer a compelling welcome offer for its new cards in 2026. We will keep you updated as we learn more about Bilt Card 2.0 options. You can also sign up on the Bilt website to receive notifications and get early access to your new card.
