How to earn and redeem Sixt One points
Members will earn rental points through new Sixt One program and Status points for base rate, mileage and protection fee. Since Sixt is a European company, points will be calculated in Euros and credited to your account within a few working days.
Members earn 1 point for every €1 (approximately $1.15) spent on qualifying rentals (excluding taxes and fees). By accumulating rental points, members will be able to redeem rewards to save on booking fees. A spokesperson for Sixt confirmed to TPG that members will be able to use points to pay for car rentals for up to seven days.
To redeem your Sixt Points, log into your account; once you select your vehicle, there will be a Points payment option on the View Your Booking page. Fortunately, you can allocate the number of points you want to redeem, which is useful if you don’t have enough points to cover the full cost of a car rental.
Although you may use Points to pay for your reservation, you will still be responsible for applicable taxes, fees, surcharges and additional product protection or add-on services.
Please note that rental credits will expire after 24 months.
Earn points through partner programs
If you’re not interested in earning Sixt One rental points, the program also partners with numerous airlines and hotel brands. You can choose to earn points or miles through your preferred loyalty program.

For example, Delta SkyMiles is a partner program. According to Sixt One’s partner page, you can earn 2 miles per $1 spent on each rental. So if earning SkyMiles is more important to you, you can earn miles to help book your next flight.
To change your earnings preferences, log into your account and click “Sixt One” in the upper left corner. Then, scroll down to the bottom and click “Change Rewards Plan.”

You will then click on “Partner Rewards Program” as your earning option. When you book a car rental through Sixt, you will be able to select the program in which you want to earn points or miles when completing your booking.

Like most other loyalty programs, your Sixt One membership is valid until the end of the following calendar year. For example, if you obtain Platinum status in June 2026, you will have Platinum status until December 2027. If you obtained a Sixt membership before the program was overhauled, you will retain your existing membership tier as long as your account is still active and you signed up for Sixt One before November 2027.

bottom line
Whether you travel frequently or not, Sixt One is a free-to-join loyalty program that gives you perks and perks right away. Seriously, it’s worth signing up to get priority access to the rental car desk, which can shorten your wait time.
As Sixt revamps its loyalty program to a spend-based model, it’s nice to see elite status as a perk with a premium credit card.
