The card’s $395 annual fee is lower than most premium competitors.
I’ve enjoyed owning the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card for the past few years, so I’ve been looking for ways to earn more valuable Capital One miles.
Here’s what I think about this offer and why I’m so interested in this card.
How common are 400,000 mile welcome bonuses for Venture X businesses?
This is the highest welcome bonus the card has ever offered, including when it launches in 2023.
The previous top offer we’ve seen on Venture X Business was in June, when you could get up to 350,000 bonus miles (no longer available) – 50,000 miles less than the current offer.
If you’re a big-spending business owner who’s ever considered applying for this card, there’s no better time than now, considering how generous the welcome bonuses are right now.
Who is eligible for the 400,000 mile welcome bonus with Venture X Business?
TPG recommends you have a credit score of 740 or above for this card.

You don’t have to be a traditional business owner to qualify for a business credit card; however, the spending requirements of the Venture X Business Welcome Bonus will suit businesses with very high spending patterns.
If you already hold an individual Capital One Venture X, this does not mean you are ineligible for the Venture X Business Welcome Bonus, nor are the Venture
However, if you currently hold another Capital One business credit card, such as the Spark Card (subject to Capital One’s terms and conditions), you may be denied the Venture X Business welcome bonus.
You must wait six months between applications for a Capital One card. Therefore, if you were approved for any Capital One card within the past six months, you will need to delay getting approved for the Venture X Business Card.
How much are 400,000 Capital One miles worth?
According to TPG’s November 2025 valuation, Capital One miles are worth 1.85 cents per mile. At that price, 400,000 miles are worth up to $7,400 when transferred to Capital One’s more than 15 connecting airline and hotel partners and used on high-value bookings.
If you want to save time by easily redeeming everything in one place, you can also redeem Capital One miles at a flat rate of 1 cent each for recent purchases or bookings through Capital One Business Travel. Therefore, in this case, the 400,000-mile bonus would be worth $4,000.
After earning and redeeming a lot of Capital One miles, here are some ways I recommend getting the best value:
Also, keep in mind that by spending $150,000 on this card to get the full welcome bonus, you’ll earn at least an additional 300,000 Capital One miles, since the card earns at least 2 miles per $1 spent. This means you’ll have at least 700,000 Capital One miles to max out.
For example, when you transfer to Air Canada Aeroplan, you can book at least 5 round-trip business class flights to Europe at a 1:1 ratio.
Also be on the lookout for occasional transfer bonus offers, which you can book for fewer miles.

So, is the 400,000-mile Venture X deal one of the best ever?
Even a 100,000-mile welcome bonus is considered generous on a rewards credit card, but this impressive offer from Capital One should pique the interest of any high-spending business owner looking to score big in rewards.
In addition to the 400,000 mile welcome bonus, here are the top five reasons why I think this card is such a value:
- annual credit: You’ll earn $300 in points per year for bookings made through Capital One Business Travel, which makes it easier for busy business owners to use than the complex coupons offered by other premium cards.
- Anniversary Bonus: 10,000 bonus miles per account anniversary starting on the first anniversary (worth $185 for travel, based on TPG’s November 2025 valuation).
- Use the lounge: Free access to Capital One lounges and more than 1,300 Priority Pass lounges for you (as the primary cardholder) and up to two guests. (But remember, guest lounge access will be tightened in February.)
- Portal profitability is high: Earn 10 miles per dollar spent on hotels and car rentals, and 5 miles per dollar spent on flights and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Business Travel. If your business has travel expenses, this is an easy way to rack up tons of extra miles and easily book everything in one place.
- Excellent daily income: Earn 2 miles per $1 spent on all other purchases.
It’s nice to realize that when you pay the $395 annual fee the second year (and subsequent years) you’ll earn $300 in travel credits and 10,000 bonus miles, which in my opinion is more than enough to cover the annual fee each year.
bottom line
The 400,000-mile welcome offer on the Capital One Venture X Business is the best deal we’ve seen on a business credit card in a long time. Here’s why:
- This is the highest welcome bonus the card has ever publicly offered.
- According to TPG’s November 2025 valuation, the welcome bonus is worth $7,400.
- The card earns at least 2 miles per dollar spent on every purchase.
- You can transfer your Capital One miles to book flights on some of the world’s best airlines and hotel program stays.
While only businesses with a lot of credit card spending can get the full welcome bonus, they can get huge rewards.
Capital One has not announced an end date for this offer, so if you’ve ever considered applying for a Venture X business, now is the time to do so.
