For Citi Appreciation Rewards members, Amazon has a targeted offer that can save you up to $50 on your next purchase. Here’s how.
How to save up to $50 on Amazon by redeeming Citi Points
When you redeem at least 125 Citi Thank You Rewards points on eligible Amazon purchases, you can save up to a subtotal of 40% (excluding shipping, taxes and fees), with a maximum discount of $50.
These offers are targeted, so your offer may vary. For example, some TPGers are seeing deals of just 30% off, up to $30 — still a great deal.
How to check if you have a target quote? First, make sure you’ve added a Citi credit card that earns Thank You Rewards points to your Amazon wallet. Then, head to this page to view your target offer and activate it.
After adding eligible items to your cart, you’ll need to set up the same Citi credit card as your payment method at checkout. Then, check the “Use Citi Rewards” box and enter at least 125 points. If you have activated the offer and your purchase qualifies for points shopping, your discount will automatically appear.

You’ll need to pay for the rest of the transaction with your Citi card, but you can also use your Amazon gift card balance if you have one in your account.
We recommend using only the minimum 125 points to maximize your savings. That’s because the value of redeeming Citi points for Amazon items (and most items) is very low at less than 1 cent per item; you can get even better deals by transferring your points to Citi’s airline and hotel partners. However, we think spending 125 points to save $30 or more is totally worth it.
According to the terms of the offer, this promotion will end on December 31 or when the maximum number of customers is reached.

If you collect Citi Thank You Rewards points, it’s an easy way to save money on everyday purchases or holiday gifts. See if you’re targeted here, and if so, activate your offer and make your purchase before December 31st. Keep in mind that there is a cap on how many people can take advantage of this offer, so the sooner you get in, the more likely you are to save.
