Sneak Peek: JetBlue shares first look at New York lounge, focus on Fort Lauderdale club
JetBlue’s first airport lounge is expected to open in New York City by the end of this month. For the first time we got a glimpse of it.
On Wednesday, the airline shared several mockups of its first club at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
Speaking at an industry conference, JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty said the Terminal 5 outpost is expected to open in about two weeks — “fingers crossed.”
Renderings shown Wednesday at Fort Worth’s Skift Aviation Forum show an upscale bar and dining area beneath what Geraghty calls a “celestial map” ceiling design. It pays homage to the iconic version that adorns the roof of Manhattan’s Grand Central Station.

She also acknowledged that the facility will be smaller — JetBlue has opted for a “customized” lounge rather than a spacious club like its rival JFK.

A third lounge in Fort Lauderdale?
Meanwhile, JetBlue has released some other lounge news (or maybe potential news) on its fledgling lounge network.
Geraghty confirmed that the airline is considering adding an outpost at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
“We’re considering it,” she said. “We have some ideas.”
JetBlue’s FLL has been experiencing rapid growth, launching a long list of new routes from the airport this year. The company has been taking advantage of vacant gate space left by Spirit Airlines amid financial troubles.

The potential South Florida club would be the airline’s third club. Geraghty said Wednesday that a second JetBlue lounge will open in Boston in 2026, but no sooner than mid-year.
JetBlue Airways lounge access
Travelers with JetBlue’s new premium credit card will have access to its new lounge network. Top-tier Mosaic 4 elite members of its TrueBlue loyalty program will also have access to the service, as will passengers flying to Europe in its premium Mint cabin.
