What is the first question we ask when we contact you?

The phone rang. You will receive an email or inMail from the recruiter. They want to talk to you about the job. What’s the first question you need to ask them? That’s what today’s #shorts are about
you need allies
A recruiter will contact you. What is the first question you must ask when starting a conversation? I’m Jeff Altman, big game hunter and former executive recruiter. I’ve been doing this for a long time and now I’m a coach. The first question you have to ask is, “Thank you for reaching out to me. Can you tell me about the position you’re hiring for and how I can help? Look, without that, you’re just talking about your background without knowing how it fits with what they’re looking for. You want to connect the dots for people so they immediately know you’re a fit, and unless you know what their goals are, you can talk to them about a bunch of hot air. I hope you find this helpful. I’m Jeff Altman. My website is JobSearch.Community. Also, you can subscribe to my YouTube channel, Job SearchTV, which has 1,000 videos to help you brighten your day!
