In the past six years, the card has only offered 100,000 bonus miles four times, and those were all after spending $10,000 in the first three months of account opening. Outside of these periods, welcome offers range from 50,000 to 80,000 miles, so now is the ideal time to take advantage of this exciting bonus.
The last time this welcome bonus was offered, it was only valid for about three months.

How much are 100,000 AAdvantage miles worth?
According to TPG’s January 2026 valuation, each AAdvantage mile is worth 1.55 cents. That means a 100,000-mile welcome bonus could be worth up to $1,550.
I’m a big fan of earning AAdvantage miles because there are so many ways to take advantage of them, both on American Airlines and its partner airlines.
The AAdvantage program uses both reward charts and dynamic pricing. Mileage rates for flights operated by American Airlines or Fiji Airways flights are dynamic, meaning the price of award flights can rise or fall based on demand. However, flights operated by other partner airlines follow a fixed and very reasonable award schedule.
Some of my favorite ways to redeem AAdvantage miles include:
- American Airlines offers domestic economy flights as close as 7,500 miles, such as from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).
- Fly to Europe in economy class on American Airlines on routes like Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) to Dublin Airport (DUB), a distance of just 25,000 miles.
- Flying from the West Coast to Japan in business class on Japan Airlines only costs 60,000 miles.
- Fly Qantas business class from the United States to Australia for 80,000 miles.
- Fly Finnair business class from the United States to Helsinki Airport (HEL) for just 57,500 miles.

As an avid collector of AAdvantage miles, which I rate higher than Delta SkyMiles and United MileagePlus miles, this is a popular offer that definitely caught my attention and is a great option for anyone flying on American Airlines or its partner airlines.

- Airport lounge access: As the primary cardholder, I will receive full membership in the Admirals Club, which allows me and my immediate family or two guests to enter the club as long as I have a same-day boarding pass for an eligible flight.
