Your Biggest Bilt Card 2.0 Questions Answered: What to Know

Bilt’s big day has arrived, and Bilt Rewards users can choose the new Bilt Card 2.0 for their wallet.

Wells Fargo’s old Bilt Mastercard is on its way out, and three new Bilt card options are on the market with a new welcome offer to collect valuable Bilt points and Bilt cash. You can only get one welcome offer on all Bilt products in your lifetime, so it’s important to choose the one that’s right for you:

  • birt blue card (See Rates & Fees; $0 annual fee): Receive $100 in Bilt Cash upon approval. Plus, if you apply through TPG and are approved, you’ll earn 5 points per $1 spent on purchases (excluding rent and mortgage payments) in the first 5 days (up to a maximum of 50,000 bonus points).
  • birt obsidian card (See Rates and Fees; $95 annual fee): $200 Bilt Cash upon approval. Plus, if you apply through TPG and are approved, you’ll earn 5 points per $1 spent on purchases (excluding rent and mortgage payments) in the first 5 days (up to a maximum of 50,000 bonus points).
  • Birt Palladium Card (See rates and fees; annual fee $495): Earn 50,000 bonus points and Bilt Gold status when you spend $4,000 in purchases within the first three months of account opening, and receive $300 in Bilt Cash upon approval. Plus, if you apply through TPG and are approved, you’ll earn 5 points per $1 spent on purchases (excluding rent and mortgage payments) in the first 5 days (up to a maximum of 50,000 bonus points).

Who is eligible to apply for a new Bilt card and receive the welcome bonus?

Cardholders who have owned an old Bilt Mastercard, as well as new applicants who have never owned a Bilt Mastercard, are eligible to apply for one of the new Bilt Card 2.0 options and receive the welcome bonus.

Can I earn the welcome bonus with multiple Bilt cards?

Won’t. The Bilt Card 2.0 suite is launching with a lifetime one-time bonus policy on all three card options. This means you can only earn one bonus with one Bilt card in your lifetime.

If I have an old Bilt Mastercard, am I eligible for the welcome bonus on the new Bilt card?

Yes. You will be able to choose birt blue cardthis birt obsidian card or Birt Palladium Card And earn the card’s welcome bonus—even if you already have an old Bilt MasterCard.

As long as you choose a new card before January 30, you can seamlessly transition to the new Bilt Card 2.0. Your Wells Fargo Bilt MasterCard will no longer be available for use on February 6th, and your new Bilt Card 2.0 card will be available for use on February 7th.

Can I apply for multiple Bilt cards at the same time?

Can’t. You can only be the primary cardholder on one Bilt Card account, so you cannot hold multiple Bilt Cards or apply for multiple Bilt Card 2.0 options at the same time.

However, you can be added as an authorized user on another Bilt Card account.

Can I add authorized users to my Bilt Card account?

Yes. You can add up to five authorized users directly within the Bilt application. These authorized users will receive their own card numbers and will be able to track charges individually.

Here are the prices charged per authorized user, depending on which Bilt card you hold:

If you have authorized users on your old Wells Fargo-powered Bilt Mastercard, it’s important to note that you must add them back to your new Bilt Card 2.0 account.

Do I need to cancel my old Bilt Mastercard?

If you choose to transition to the new Bilt Card 2.0, you will be able to transfer any balance from your Wells Fargo account. You may also choose to have Bilt close your Wells Fargo card account on your behalf.

If you choose not to convert to the new Bilt Card 2.0, your old Wells Fargo Bilt Mastercard will be converted to Wells Fargo Autograph® Card (See Rates and Fees) Use a different card number.

You will not earn Bilt points on the Autograph. Instead, you’ll earn Wells Fargo Rewards points.
