This Japanese Park Hyatt hotel has great availability during ski season and can be booked with points

To all you Hyatt loyalists who love skiing: this one is for you. If you have World of Hyatt points to redeem, it’s not too late to score a solid points deal on a ski trip to Japan this year.

As our friends at Upgraded Points just discovered, the Park Hyatt Niseko Garden in Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island, offers the convenience of ski-in/ski-out access.

Sufficient supply for late 2026 ski season

As a Category 8 resort in the World of Hyatt system, Park Hyatt Niseko Gardens costs between 35,000 and 45,000 points per night, with standard accommodations costing 40,000 points per night.

The ski season in Hokkaido usually runs from December to early April, but snow conditions may extend the season into May or shorten it. As of now, Hanazono Niseko Resort plans to operate until April 12.

In March, peak availability is plentiful, as shown below, and dates at 45,000 points per night are likely to offer signature fresh Niseko powder on the slopes.

While we can’t tell you exactly what the ski slopes will be like in April, we can say that there are some standard award stays available for 40,000 World of Hyatt points per night that might make it worth the trip (or gamble, whichever way you look at it).

If you’re here during the winter snow season, the resort offers ideal ski-in/ski-out facilities for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels, as well as other snow activities like snowshoeing, snowmobiling, snow tubing, winter horseback riding and snow rafting.

The hotel offers a variety of dining experiences, including Sichuan cuisine at China Kitchen; Robata for seafood and local grilled products, as well as Japanese beer, sake and whiskey; Italian cuisine at Olivio; upscale Hokkaido cuisine by renowned chef Hiroshi Nakamichi at Moliere Montagne; world-class sushi at Sushi Mitsukawa by renowned chef Koji Mitsukawa; and a variety of bars, lounges and cafes. There’s even a karaoke room.

Until March 31, guests can also enjoy Park Hyatt Niseko Garden’s “Krug Igloo Prive,” an intimate igloo experience with exclusive Krug champagne; Japanese, French or Chinese meals; and winter moments like outdoor fireplaces and snacks under the stars.

As for the guest rooms at this Park Hyatt Japan hotel, you can expect floor-to-ceiling windows, soaking tubs, comfortable interiors, and a cozy feel that’s perfect for those last moments of your winter trip.

bottom line

The dates when this is offered may not occur during peak ski season, but that might just mean the resort will be a little quieter for later trips to Japan’s ski slopes. If you’re a Hyatt loyalist and want to try out winter sports again, this might be a great way to use World of Hyatt points.
