How to Earn Bilt Cash
There are two main ways you can earn Bilt Cash: a new Bilt Credit Card and reaching points milestones. However, Bilt made it clear that it plans to introduce new ways to earn Bilt Cash in the future.
Currently, for every 25,000 Bilt points you earn, you’ll receive $50 in Bilt Cash. However, once the new Bilt Card goes live on February 7, you’ll earn 4% back in Bilt Cash every day you shop with your Bilt Card.

Even if you’ve already started earning Bilt Cash, you won’t be able to redeem Bilt Cash until February. Starting in February, you’ll be able to redeem Bilt Cash at an equivalent price as well as certain types of one-time access. Specifically, Bilt displays the following information to members regarding redeeming Bilt Cash:

So once redemptions launch in February, you’ll be able to redeem Bilt Cash dollars for hotel points, dining points, fitness points, Lyft points, home delivery points and Bilt Collection points. So you can use $30 of Bilt Cash to get $30 of dining or a Lyft ride, among other options.
In addition, you can sometimes redeem Bilt Cash to unlock special benefits, such as higher transfer bonuses, access to a home-from-home hotel, and early access to booking experiences. This access may be worth paying for, especially if you don’t have Bilt Elite status which provides this access.
Bilt cardholders can also redeem Bilt Cash to unlock Bilt points for rent and mortgage payments. To offset transaction fees, the exchange rate is 3 cents for Bilt Cash, unlocking 1 point. So, if your rent for the month is $1,000, you can redeem $30 in Bilt Cash to earn 1,000 Bilt points on your monthly rent. Importantly, there is no minimum, so you can redeem 3 cents of Bilt Cash to unlock 1 point if you wish.
If you don’t have enough Bilt Cash to cover the full cost but still want to earn 1 point per $1 spent on your housing payment, a 3% fee will be charged as the difference.
What’s the best way to redeem Bilt Cash?
It’s difficult to say exactly what the best way to redeem Bilt Cash is at this time.
After all, we don’t yet know how much Bilt Cash will be needed to unlock higher transfer bonuses, access to Home Away From Home hotels, and early access to booking experiences.

However, given the interest rate at which members can redeem Bilt Cash to earn rental or mortgage points (3 cents per point), using Bilt Cash to redeem points at a dollar-for-dollar rate will likely provide better value.
Broken down, TPG’s January 2026 valuation values Bilt at 2.2 cents per share. So unless you’re redeeming Bilt points for at least 3 cents per point (which some Bilt transfer partners certainly do), you’re better off using Bilt Cash to earn points or credits for housing payments at a dollar-for-dollar rate.
Plus, if you want to earn 1 point for every $1 you spend on your rent or mortgage payments, you can use Bilt Cash to offset some (or all) of your transaction fees.
For example, if your rent is $2,000 per month and you have earned $40 in Bilt Cash, in order to earn the maximum rental points (2,000 points), you can choose to redeem your Bilt Cash and be charged a 3% transaction fee on the difference. In this case, you will need to pay an additional $20. However, you can also choose not to earn the full amount of points and incur no transaction fees.
