Six Senses, a wellness-focused hotel brand, is expanding into southern Utah. The brand is part of InterContinental Hotels Group Hotels & Resorts, which operates luxury hotels in popular destinations such as the Maldives and Seychelles. Soon, Americans will be able to experience desert luxury at Six Senses Camp Colongo, just a stone’s throw from some of the most beautiful national parks in the country.

Six Senses Korongo is set to open in 2029 and will offer 41 tented pavilions and 12 residences spread across approximately 480 acres of desert landscape known for its red rock formations. Six Senses undoubtedly chose this location for its tranquility, closeness to nature and opportunities for relaxation, and like other hotels, the hotel will likely incorporate sustainable design practices to accentuate the surrounding landscape and create an atmosphere for guests to relax and unwind.

A Six Senses spa offering a range of treatments and programs is also planned as part of the resort. The products will be customizable, allowing guests to choose the depth of their wellness experience during their stay, the company said.

Located in Kanab, Utah, our hotel is also an ideal location for guests to explore the national parks. Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park are only about 1 1/2 hours away. Meanwhile, guests can drive to Grand Canyon and Arches National Park in about three hours. For those who want to stay put, the property itself will offer hiking trails and opportunities for stargazing under some of the darkest skies in the region.

Six Senses Camp Colongo will be Six Senses’ third U.S. outpost. Two additional resorts, one in Colorado and one in Pennsylvania, are currently under development and expected to open in 2028. This Utah project represents the continued expansion of Six Senses’ North American portfolio and demonstrates the growing interest in nature-based, wellness-oriented travel.
