web email script

By Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter
I was listening to Tom Madera’s podcast interview about cold networking on the LHH podcast, “Yes, It Happens. What’s Next.” I thought it gave excellent advice on how to contact someone at a company you’re interested in interviewing or working for.
adapt!
This is a great web email script that you can use on LinkedIn, text, or anything else. I’m going to quote the podcast I’m listening to that shares this in the show notes.
“I’m really interested in [fill in the blank name of the company]but before I do anything official, I have some questions for you. Can you give me 15 minutes to answer them? Thank you and I hope to talk to you soon. “
You are not asking for a job. You are not asking for an interview. What you are asking for is some time. What they do is give you a bad 15 minutes, which often lasts longer. Does this work every time? Of course not. Would it be more effective than “Hey, can I talk to you? I have some questions”? This is a more polite way.
